I really am liking the new range , I replaced it from an almost 3 yr old GE Cafe , that was a lemon, Very happy I went with the KA , Yes it is MUCH louder when going on to reach temp and it does a pop sound, But you get used to it, I have more of a problem with a vibrating noise that happens when its cooking , I cant seem to locate where it is coming from to stop it. I also would change the open hole/pipe that the air escapes from in the middle of the burners, I am afraid something will get dropped in there , plus the cover is not coated with any type of feet so that also vibrates, I was very spoiled with being able to put LARGE baking sheet trays in or even average sized sheet trays but with this oven, its not possible , The depth is VERY short compared to a regular oven, there is a huge area behind the stove that it wont go back any farther , I have to find something to cover that area now, last stove was a 30 inch as well but went right up against the wall.It said 27 an 3/8 depth but its only 15 depth for a tray inside, where I was able to use 2 trays on a rack i only can use 1 width wise. these are all little things but I hope to add some good information so KA could become even better. I love my over all stove and would not mind at all too be a KA tester LOL! IF i could change one thing it would be the depth of the stove to go back farther and allow for a longer sheet tray. The warming drawer is terrific!! the controls are great, they do not get scorching hot when the oven is on, and they also have a rubber area on the knobs.
I wanted to add another important feature that makes this oven stand out even more...The bottom of the oven , that always gets dripped an burned on COMES OUT!!! Such easy cleaning , I was thrilled to see it lifts up an removes , so there never really is burnt on messes!! Excellent feature Kitchen Aid!!

Very unhappy w/ the horrible trim kit. The grills overlap the sides of the stovetop just enough that the triangle shaped trim kit still leaves a 1/4" gap on the sides where my tile island meets the stove sides (this is a very tight fit, no excuse for trim kit not working except it's not 3 separate pieces, it's a triangle-shaped single piece). I can't find another substitute, now I have a 1-1/2" gap behind my stove & on sides. Grills are large & heavy and must be removed to clean around burners & the grills themselves are impossible to clean. Front glass control panel cannot be cleaned without you setting on/off every single option on it because you touch it w/ the sponge. Electronic ignition in oven goes on/off about every 15-20 seconds, this will be a part that won't last long. My local store charged me $1750 for this I could have gotten on line for $1300 and it's a discontinued model.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glenna Love my new range!!
I bought a KitchenAid slide-in range 20 years ago. Even though it cooked and baked well, I hated it because it was soooo hard to keep clean. Again, I just bought a KitchenAid slide in range. I really would have liked to have gotten the 2015 model; however, it is now too deep for my cabinets and counter top, so I got last year's model (it has a warming drawer instead of a baking drawer). I stuck with white and I love it. It is so easy to cook with and cleaning is a breeze. Of course, after it was installed, my 20 year old KitchenAid microwave looked yellow compared to my new white range. Of course, I now have a new KitchenAid microwave!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GB My new Kitchen Aid slide-in range
I am enjoying my new range, especially the convection baking feature. There are four issues that I have with my new range: 1. I can just barely touch the oven control, and the various features come on. Of course, I can turn them off easily enough, but it's an annoyance. 2. The front right burner will not always activate when I turn it on, and I have to use a candle lighter to turn it on. My husband also has this problem when he uses the stove. At first I thought we were just not yet accustomed to the new range, but we have had no problem with the other three burners. 3. I have gotten something on one of the surface burners and the burner grates, and nothing with which I have tried to clean it will get it off so it is noticeable. I have used Barkeeper's Friend which is always very effective with other things. Nonabrasive plastic scrubbers are not effective. 4. I would have liked to have had another triple tier burner. I usually have to use more than one large pan when I cook. I am very happy with the way my range performs, and I like the simplicity of cleaning the porcelain top. If you have suggestions in addition to those in the manual for cleaning the grates and the burner, I would love to have them. Thank you Glenda Simmons

This stove was installed about a month ago, and currently the right front burner will not, the oven will sometimes not preheat unless stove is turned off and back on. Also when oven does light it makes a popping noise, and I believe we have more odor from the stove than we should. GE Service has been called, but cannot get to our house for a week.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by al terrible service
I bought this over a month ago and it was delivered with a scratch and a burner that had some brown sticky stuff on the main burner. The burner grate on the left was broke. They has service replace it and it was the wrong one. A replacement was ordered over 6 weeks ago and still do not have it. Bought this product Slyman Brothers in St. Louis Mo.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JD Generally good - could have been better designed
Pros: If you want a white slide-in range, this is about the best one available. Like the GLASS touch panel - very good. The turbo-burner is good. Cons: The bottom "warming drawer" would be better to be a true storage drawer to hold frying pans, etc, but should have been taller for better storage area. The huge grates are clunky to remove and replace during cleaning. Very risk to scratch the white enamel paint in the process. The one removable/reversible grate-section to be for WOK frying is very good, however, it would have been far better to make all four quadrants with the same removable grate-sections to aid in the ease of cleaning. The white enamel on the top-facing surface of the control panel is very susceptible to scratching and would have been better if designed differently vis-a-vis the huge clunky grates. The height of the grates is a bit too high and the burners are not as effective at heating the pans - other than the turbo burner, the other three are small. It would have been better to have two turbo burners, one large, and one small. Lastly, the sound of the oven gas burner going on and off is louder than expected. Overall, the oven section is lower than other ovens we have used.

Good stove cooks quickly with many smart features. The fan is a little too noisy.
