Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mixer! This mixer is the best. Not only does it mix, whisk and knead, but it utilizes many of attachments. The grinder attachment is to be used next for making ham salad. As previously stated, the other capabilities of this mixer, such as the mixing makes baking that much easier, especially during the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) where the unit is going to come into some good use. Furthermore, the ease of use of the mixer (on/off and speed control, head tilt and the attachment of the tools) is great. This mixer will perform for many of years of come and then some. A must for all kitchens. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 qt tilt up mixer I bought this as an early Christmas present and very happy I did. I have made 4 batches of cookies and even mixed a meatloaf. I saw one review that after first use, even after washing, there was still manufacturing residue which I also experienced. To give a better clean, I used my liquid Bar Keepers Friend - it does not scratch and cleaned it very well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, LOVE! I'm a huge KitchenAid fan anyways, but I've always wanted a stand mixer for my own kitchen. My great-grandmother had one that my grandmother used and passed down to my mother, who still uses it today! So when my fiancé and I registered for our wedding, that was one of the very first things I put on it. I received it from my mother as a bridal shower gift, and it's absolutely perfect! It's a beautiful aqua color, and it matches my kitchen perfectly. It's easy to use, easy to store, and makes baking quick and simple with an easy clean up. I would 100% recommend this mixer to anyone looking for a good quality product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shakes violently, makes a lot of noise I have to make a call to Kitchen Aid so this may be premature. I will adjust this once I get satisfaction. The top part shakes violently when making bread even on low speed. It vibrates on my counter and makes a lot of noise. The video shows this and also shows the low speed and that the top is locked in place. Please respond. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the guard I began using it the day after I purchased it - absolutely love it. I work in a credit call call center and a card member called as she was on your website trying to make a purchase and her card was being declined - after I verified her card was okay I asked her if the purchase was for her and she said it was for her preteen daughter that loved to bake - I then began telling her about mine and how I loved it - like me she was excited about the splash guard (she didn't know about it until I told her). She was grateful for the input. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice to have The mixer is great to have. It is nice to use for mixing, my wrists would always hurt when stirring, the mixer makes everything so much easier. The down side to this is the weight, and the clunkiness of it. It is not always easy to just add more ingredients in while mixing, you need to stop it, lift the mixer part and then you'll have enough room. Also, all of the attachments are so expensive, it's almost not worth it to buy such an expensive item knowing everything that goes with it is so expensive. Rated 1 out of 5 by from KitchenAid, you broke my heart... My parents gave me a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer for Christmas about 10 years ago. I loved her; she was perfect. I moved recently, and in one heartbreaking moment managed to drop my beloved mixer on my new wood floors. Immediately, I ordered a new mixer (my old one didn't survive). The new mixer arrived and I opened it excited to meet my new "friend." Dismayed, the metal band around the head wasn't attatched properly and the head made odd grinding noises when I tilted it. Since I'd ordered it from Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I brought it back to the store, thinking it had been damaged in during shipping. I was thrilled that they had one in the store. My excitement turned to disappointment when I saw a handful of dents near where the beaters connect and scratches all over the top. I returned to the store, and this time opened the box before I walked out with a third defective mixer. Number three was the worst of the bunch. Desperate, I tried a different color. It didn't have visible flaws, so I tenatively brought it home. After washing the bowl, I watched in dismay as the paper towel I was using to dry it turned black. At this point, I felt too defeated to return #4. Two rounds of serious scrubbing later with stainless cleaner, it seemed ok. I tried it (making an old stand-by cookie dough). It functions, but not as well as my old one, and feels much more cheaply made. I loved my stand mixer so much, and wish that I had her back. KitchenAid, the quality of your mixers as taken a turn for the worse. I'll see how long this one lasts, but expect that I'll soon be shopping for a new mixer - and a different brand this time.
