This is my second Kitchen Aid coffee grinder. I use it for grinding coffee, soft nuts, and soft dried herbs.

the brushed metal finish and style are excellent. Liked the removeable container, making pouring and cleanup easier. Ended up returning the coffee grinder because it did not make a consistent grind. Went with the less expensive, but more powerful Krups.

It ground for like 5 seconds and quit working. Waited a week for store to get in and now will have to return. So dissappointed. Will try a different brand.

This grinder was purchased to replace a burr grinder that quit working after about 18 months. It is quiet and produces an consistent grind that is perfect for drip, perk, or french press. It is well made, well designed, and looks good on the counter. No more howling burr grinders for me. (Note: The grind is not fine enough for expresso.)

Coffee Grinder is very noisy in comparison to identical one we have. It sounds as if the bearings are on there way out. It's as if it was a return for repair and just put back into stock. I am expecting it to die within the warranty, at which time I'll return it.

This is a nice grinder. It's the manual "push down" type but it does a nice job. 10-15 seconds and its done. The only knock is the grinds which get caught under the blade. Can't deduct a star for that though. Love the deep and removable canister, makes grinding and cleanup much easier. Good purchase.

I had the older version and it has given me years of dependable service. I wanted the new model so I could use the spice grinder attachment. I love it. I always use sea salt and grinding enough to measure into recipes or salt meat was a real chore. My new Kitchenaid grinder now makes short work of that tedious task. When you couple ease of use with dishwasher safe you have a winner. The coffee grinder also makes short work of grinding my coffee to just the right grind. My sister has another brand grinder and it just doesn't have the power of my Kitchenaid. My only negative comment is that the logo printed on the grinder is different from my other Kitchenaid appliances. It is black print. Now my next problem - to whom do I pass my old grinder. One truly does buy Kitchenaid for a lifetime of use.
