Simply quit grinding after 18 months of normal, daily use to grind beans for morning coffee for one person.

This is my second Kitchen Aid coffee grinder. I use it for grinding coffee, soft nuts, and soft dried herbs.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sunsue Lovely to behold, but
the brushed metal finish and style are excellent. Liked the removeable container, making pouring and cleanup easier. Ended up returning the coffee grinder because it did not make a consistent grind. Went with the less expensive, but more powerful Krups.

It ground for like 5 seconds and quit working. Waited a week for store to get in and now will have to return. So dissappointed. Will try a different brand.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jan from the desert Love it but.....
I have had several different coffee grinders but I have to say I love this one the best, or at least I did until the base of the stainless coffee bowl lost a piece when I was attaching it. I have had this grinder for about 4 years. I love how fast it is, noise level is acceptable, and cleanup a breeze. However, when I went to attach the bowl to the base a piece of plastic that helps secure the bowl for grinding broke out. I would like to replace the bowl but can't find where to get one. Help!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Was a good, solid grinder, until ...
This grinder seems much more solid than a similar model by Cuisinart. However, after using for about four months the base of the grinder cup suddenly failed where the base clips into the motor housing. All of the clip inserts broke off the cup base meaning that only the lid was left holding the cup down onto the motor gear. Not sure if we will replace the unit or just go with a different brand.

This grinder was purchased to replace a burr grinder that quit working after about 18 months. It is quiet and produces an consistent grind that is perfect for drip, perk, or french press. It is well made, well designed, and looks good on the counter. No more howling burr grinders for me. (Note: The grind is not fine enough for expresso.)

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by roach808 Quit working after about 6 uses!
While I loved it when it was working, we've only used it maybe 6 times as a spice grinder when we're making sausages. It doesn't have build up of coffee like I saw some people say online that might prevent it from working. It hums, but the blade isn't turning (from the base) and I'm totally bummed that it quit working after so few uses AND I can't really find how to fix it online!
