This is the second grill I buy. Just like the first one that kept falling apart on me and I wrote a review and somebody answer back that I put it together wrong. Well do to the lack of good charcoal grills I decided to buy it again because it was on sale. but this time I had home depot assemble it so they wouldn't have a reason to blame me. well today I decided to move the grill 5 feet to a shaded area and while moving it the big wheels came off. the inside of them were shredded like if the plastic wasn't strong enough to hold the weight and almost seem like the natural heat of the day had softened the plastic. I just hope their warranty program works.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by minichef The Cadillac of charcoal grills!
This grill has solid construction and multiple features that make it above average for cart-style grills. The heavy weight matte finish grill racks provide a good sear without scorching the food. The body of the grill contains the heat, so I can comfortably stand in front of the grill, even while using hardwood charcoal. The ash drawer is ample, and the coal tray solid, with small holes so the coals don't fall through. The coal tray adjusts to 3 levels! What more can one ask for?

The grill was easily put together. We have used it several times. I like the thick bottom tray for the charcoal and the easy remove able grates. Got enough room to cook 8 hamburgers 4 large pork chops and a tray with sliced squash, asparagus, and sliced bell peppers. Had hot dog, chicken legs, and brats on top tray. This was the most room I have cooked on with charcoal. Everything turned out great. Buy for the outdoor man not the city gas grill user.

i really like the design features of this grill and it appears to be perfect for modifying for installation in an outdoor kitchen; however, I have visited all of my local Home Depot stores in the Charleston, SC area and have yet to find one without a damaged hood. I purchased one in an unopened box which showed no outward signs of any damage. Upon opening the box, I noticed that both sides of the hood were damaged. This would indicate that the Chinese factory which manufactures the grills has little or no QA inspections of their product. I returned the damaged grill to Hd. I have not found any other charcoal grill with similar features that I would purchase so I may go out of town looking for an undamaged grill.

My wife bought this grill for my birthday. Found it easy to assemble. Have really enjoyed using the grill. However, the grill cover is useless. Water leaks through and fills the tray that holds ashes. After a really hard rain, and having left the cover on for a week or so, when I uncovered the grill, I discovered the grill was covered with mold and again ash draw full of water. Fortunately, the grill did clean up - but now storing the grill in the garage. I have been looking for a cover but have not found one except the cover provided for this model. No interest in buying another cover that leaks.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by duzmontana Good grill for the price
1) Great look
2) Grates are very good quality, lots of cooking surface
3) Very thin metal for cover and tub = low temperature
4) Leaky ash drawer = finicky temperature control
5) Raised bed is awesome
This is my first charcoal grill and I was attracted by the size and the format which are quite awesome. The product look really good also although I have to say that the metal used for the tub and the cover is pretty thin. This ultimately leads to lower temperature when the cover is closed hence with over 20 uses, it never reached higher than 375-400F with half the surface filled with coals. Temperature control is also an issue due to the ash drawer letting all the air come in. I still have to figure out how I will isolate that to get better control, but most probably it will result in a failure. The whole ash drawer system is pretty convenient, but it renders the whole thing very difficult to control for slow cooks. The raised bed for the coals is pretty awesome, I feel that I can reach relatively good control to sear meats and then cook at 350-400F for thick pieces. No way to sear and cook at 200F due to way too much air coming in from everywhere as I explained earlier. The handle is super cool but again, it lets a lot of air in which... let me correct that, lets air out!! due to the ash drawer being lower and really sucking in. This would need to be addressed after the drawer is isolated. I think the problems could be fixed using BBQ tape on the drawer but all in all, the quality of the material will not allow this BBQ to last so long. The sections where a lot of heat comes between the ash drawer and the raised bed already bent severely which leads me to think that any tight fitting isolation won't stay put longer than a few grilling session. There is probably good stuff to do to upgrade that BBQ with simple tricks but I'm not there yet. For 200$ this is probably the best thing for the amount of space you get and the coolness factor you get with the chimney and all. I would recommend but would probably make a few modification to make it even better.
I would say this is best for searing and high temperature grilling and 350-400F cooking. Would not purchase for low temperature cooking without some ways to fix the air intake problem.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Amk4524 Nice grill poor packaging
We are very happy with this grill. It seems sturdy and has plenty of cooking space...our complaint is that upon opening it some of the pieces were scratched and dented pretty badly! Since we already had the all unpacked we did not pack it all back up to return but we are a bit sad that we spent a little extra on a grill and the arrived scratched and dented!!!
