Bought this range for new home construction 6 months ago (make sure they covert to propane gas if that is what you use). Flames adjust nicely to every need while the convection electric oven bakes evenly. Looks great and like the oven's steam option. The keypad and electronic board had to be replaced this past week under warranty. Local appliance company we used was great although KitchenAid at first set an appointment with a company 2 states away. When we couldn't get service we requested a different service. We purchased this range to replace a very old, very basic one. The jump in size and quality was dramatic, so that colors this review a little. However, after comparing many, the features and usability are very well done on this line. Oven: I was really interested to try the steam assist, and in the few months we've had the range I've tried a variety of dishes and a bird or two, all with excellent results. I've even combined dishes to cook at once ( root veggies and chicken thighs, etc. ) and been impressed at the speed and tenderness of the results. It also cooks whole chicken in record time. Broiler rocks! I mostly use the center-only option. Convection plus capacity allows me to bake four sheets of cookies at one time, evenly. 9 minutes later ... all done. I haven't tried baking bread yet - that will be a true test of capability. Cook top: The burners' wide range of high to low heat perform as advertised. The individual grates make cleaning the cook top pretty easy, although it is certainly more of a catch-all for oil and bits than our old range or anything with a glass top. BTU power and flexibility won out over clean-up for me. For those who experience loud fan noises and other odd things mentioned in these reviews, definitely have the range serviced and inspected. That's not normal. There is a blower that operates when the oven is in use, but ours is pretty quiet and gentle. If it is loud, get it fixed. I do highly recommend an extended service plan of some sort for this reason. We bought the five-year plan, which came in handy as an igniter module was defective. Overall, I've enjoyed this range immensely.

Regretfully, I am the owner of a Kitchenaid KDRU767VSS04, Which I installed on 11/18/2013. This is $7,000 range! It is beautiful and worked well when it worked.
In October 2015, The oven quit working with an error code F6-EO. I called Kitchenaid service, and after 17 minutes on hold, I was told that no service suggestions or instructions were available, and that I needed to call a local service company. l After returning from a vacation, I called the recommended service center. On December 23, a technician who was unfamiliar with this range checked it and told me he needed to order parts. 1/22 Parts were installed (new control and membrane). Range still did not work. He needed to order additional parts. February 2, I called the company and was told that she would check and call me back in 10 minutes. She did not call back. On 2/8 I called at 1:00 PM and left a message on their voice mail. No return call. On 2/18 I called again and was told that the technician would be at my home on 2/22 between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. At 1:30 PM I called to see if she could give me a time. She repeated between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. She said she had no idea of the schedule of their technician and that he would call me before arriving. At 5:30 I called A&E and reached voicemail. I never received a call from them.
My time is valuable. I have now taken time off from my job for 3 days to wait for a technician to repair this range. I usually cook Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for about 15 people. I canceled both last year because of this range. It is a very beautiful piece of equipment which is essentially useless!
After internet research, I am aware that I am not the only customer who has placed misguided trust in Kitchenaid. At this point. Yes, My major complaint is the recommended service provider, however, an appliance is only as good as the service which backs it up. Even the error message is offensive "NO MORE OPERATION ALLOWED ON OVEN"

I did a ton of research and was concerned that this was too good to be true. For the cost and to receive a combination over that cost half of what other major brands cost really concerned me. Based on the personal reviews and Consumer Reports ratings I ordered this oven. Am I ever so happy that I did! I LOVE MY NEW RANGE AND OVEN!!!! I baked a chicken and it was the most beautiful mahogany crispy skinned with delectable moist tender white meat. Gosh, it was a home run!

We renovated a historic home and purchased all Kitchenaid applicances and we couldn't be happier. The range looks modern and sleek, yet classic. We love the six burners, the varying flame size and the digital display to control the oven settings and timer is fantastic.

I received an error message on my range and called whirlpool they subsequently sent a repair guy with a replacement part a week later, however, they determined the part was not correct to fix the oven. They came back with a new part the following week and it also did not fix the oven. Whirlpool was called directly by the repair service but they indicated they were unable to determine the problem based on the series of error messages. At this point I've owned the oven for almost a month but it only has worked half the time. I'm waiting for the repair service to come a third time. Fingers crossed? To be honest my range provided much enjoyment when it worked. The design of the range and functionality of steam assist is a chefs dream. I chose this range over Other high end brands....but now I'm going to need some awesome customer service to recommend this to a friend. - Questions for kitchenAid - How many repair visits are required for a product to be deemed a lemon? Does my range qualify for replacement it was purchased new through whirlpool? If so can expedited service be arranged I miss being able to cook food so does my family. The range was purchased so many wonderful meals could be produced but thus far has resulted in take out. Does kitchenAid have other customers experiencing these types of problems?
