We were looking for a 'red' tea kettle and unfortunately when we received the product it was more off-red/maroon too much to match what we were after.

This boils water rapidly. The whistle is loud enough for you to hear if you are not in the kitchen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jasongghfgd better quality
I bought this to replace an older and less expensive Ketle, My old one had tarnished and was starting to rust in spots. I can tell this one is made of a heavier steel and the quality is also much better. I think it is worth the extra cost to purchase because it is of better quality, the handle does not get hot as easily and will shirly last a long time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JanefromLongIsland really nice teapot
everything is perfect about this teapot. I searched long and hard before deciding to order this particular one, and it paid off. It looks nice, heats up nicely, the handle doesn't get hot, and I like the little gadget to open the spout stays open rather than continuously having to hold it open while pouring.

I have a ceramic stove top. This really isn't recommended for that type of stove. Appearantly at high temperatures the kettle can stick to the glass ruining both the stove and the kettle. However I've used it several times on a lower heat setting and it seems to do fine.

I love the look and design of the tea kettle. Unfortunately, the bottom is not completely flat, so you must off set it from the burner on a ceramic cooktop in order for it heat properly. Wish it was easier to find a flat bottom kettle.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lawt62 This kettle is exactly what I wanted. It's color (black) is rich and appears durable. The whistle is loud which is just what I need.
