This is the best, cleanest, most durable tea kettle I have ever owned. In fact it is the best one I have run across since my mother's circa 1965 Revere (sad when a 200 year old brand like that one goes to junk like they are now). I finally had to replace this kettle after 10 years when my wife left it on the stove empty for a few HOURS! the kettle itself was actually fine but it got so hot (the metal was glowing) that the silicon/plastic spacers for the handle melted and ran inside the kettle.

my kitchen aid "stainless" tea kettle has begun to rust along the rim where the lid meets as well as in spots inside.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jasongghfgd better quality
I bought this to replace an older and less expensive Ketle, My old one had tarnished and was starting to rust in spots. I can tell this one is made of a heavier steel and the quality is also much better. I think it is worth the extra cost to purchase because it is of better quality, the handle does not get hot as easily and will shirly last a long time.

everything is perfect about this teapot. I searched long and hard before deciding to order this particular one, and it paid off. It looks nice, heats up nicely, the handle doesn't get hot, and I like the little gadget to open the spout stays open rather than continuously having to hold it open while pouring.

I love the look and design of the tea kettle. Unfortunately, the bottom is not completely flat, so you must off set it from the burner on a ceramic cooktop in order for it heat properly. Wish it was easier to find a flat bottom kettle.
