I received my first kitchen aid just over a year ago and have loved it. Few weeks after the warranty was up the machine had some issues. We needed to replace it and I was sick that it was just weeks after the warranty would have covered it. We called kitchen-aid expecting the worse and were beyond pleasantly surprised. They sent us a new one completely free of charge, not even charging for shipping, apologizing profusely. It's nice to have a company that will completely back their product. I received the new one just days after talking to a rep. It's even quieter than my first one. I love it!

What a great tool. After 67 years I finally purchased my Kitchen Aid mixer. I have used this wonderful mixer everyday since buying it. I started helping my Mother cook around the age of five. I learned to mix goodies and breads by hand...many hours wasted! The Kitchen Aid mixes so much faster and combines ingredients so easily. Once you purchase your Kitchen Aid mixer you'll wonder like me...why did I wait so long? I also purchased their meat grinder attachment. I have ground my hamburger and sausage...amazed that it growing the meats so fast and easy. It didn't even slow the machine. Very HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product to all cooks-young and old. Yes, men do love to cook too.

This is a huge heavy-duty mixer. It does not fit in my kitchen "appliance garage". However, it tucks underneath my microwave oven, and it is nicely showcased there. Never did I realize everyone would see it and say, "Wow! Now, that's a mixer!". No kiddin'. I love how it slow starts. I love everything about it. I've put in some pretty stiff dough and I've done some pretty delicate cheesecake/pastry items. It handles it all. Also, you can easily read recipe mixing intentions and know that the KitchenAid can mirror those settings. A great machine!

Only con: pour shield doesnt "snap" on, just rests on the bowl. Pros: 6qt bowl handles all of my recipes (family of 8=big batches). The power hub is connected with a hinge so I just flip it back and adjust the screw; no need to find a safe place to put the powerhub cover! The dough hook is (imo) a better hook than the one in the 4.5 qt. The motor has enough power to mix even a 6-loaf batch of bread. The bowl is big enough I can dump in 4lbs of cooked chicken breasts to shred. I love it. And since it is a kitchenaid. I only need the counter space for the stand mixer, and store all my attachments in a cabinet, so I dobt need additional space for a meat grinder, pasta maker, etc. I recommend kitchenaid to everyone I know who cooks.

This mixer has it all. It has no trouble even mixing the toughest dough. Pizza and pasta dough being my weekly test for this machine. No problem doubling the recipe due to the massive size of the bowl. While being so industrial in function it still maintains a sleek look for your modern or rustic kitchen. This machine is for everyone, people who want to learn, improve or perfect not only baking but many culinary techniques. It is also easy to operate and clean. Placing this machine on your counter top brings another level of maturity to your kitchen.

Receive this as a wedding present, and don't know how I survived without it. My husband and I are trying to reduce our consumption of processed food, and my KitchenAid certainly helps with that! Lately, i've been making our bread every week, and my mixer saves my hands and shoulders as well as time. Does well with kneading ingredients for two loaves of whole wheat bread. Also great for baking muffins, cookies, whipping cream, and pretty much anything else you can come up with in the kitchen.

Let me start by saying I was replacing a KitchenAid 4 quart stand mixer. I killed it making dough, but it was about 16 years old. I wanted a bigger bowl, so after much debate went with the Pro 600. I thought the lift bowl would be a nice feature, but I don't like it. When you are mixing and you want to scrape the sides of the bowl or beaters, it is pretty well impossible because of the way the beater sits in the bowl. Even with the bowl at the stand position, you can't reach the bottom of the beaters, and you have to try and reach around it with a spatula to get the sides of the bowl. With the tilt head you just lifted the head and scraped the bowl and beater and put the head down and went back to mixing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mgeorge Great for homemade pasta!
We had gone through multiple dedicated pasta makers in the past years and had really given up on them - the motors all burned out within 1-2 years and they were the type that pushed the pasta through holes the shape of the intended pasta result. My wife saw a different version of this machine and we wound up going with this one for its heavy-duty motor. The pasta roller and cutters work excellent! The mixer has zero problem creating flat sheets and then cutting them. We have not tried the ravioli yet but the fettuccine was a lot of fun and very easy to make (we went all out and did a spinach one the first time)!
