Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Max Should have read the reviews
I should have read the reviews before I bought the rotor/slicer. Did well on cheese, hard time on potatoes. To top it all off I can find the part that holds the blade cones in place. Looked on your web site and you don't have parts listed. So I guess I have a pile of junk.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GG Just okay
After reading reviews on this product and watching a video on the internet of someone slicing and shredding different items, I decided to purchase the item and see what I thought myself. Like many other reviews, I did not have success with slicing vegetable but I have been happy with how it shreds blocks of cheese (this was my main reason for purchasing). As for the quality of the unit itself, I am not having any issues with it cracking or breaking as other reviews have mentioned. I also have not had any problems with the parts rusting after washing as one review mentioned, but I only hand wash all the parts and make sure to lay them out to completely dry off before storing them. So if you are looking to mostly shred cheese (and like me will not use a hand grater due to a past incident with my finger) I recommend this product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cp cracked 2nd time I used it
I 2nd time I used the rotor slicer shredder it cracked. I had purchased it new so very disappointed - thought kitchen aid products were more substantial. The third time the crack turned into a break and too dangerous for further use. Wasted my money.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sharon Usually love KitchenAId. This is awful
I tried to slice peppers and cucumbers and both the thin and thick slicers pulped the veggies. They were dull blades I guess because the peppers were just blended sort of and peeled, and the cucumbers were just a little better when I tried them. Both got stuck to the outside of the cone and had I had to remove the cone to get the vegetable out each time. What a waste of vegetable. I love my mixer and spiralizer but this was a waste of money. I'm so disappointed, which is a shame after 15 years of loving all KitchenAid products I purchase.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jen Works ok.
Works great for cheese but not so much for veggies. Haven't used it in awhile and lost the part that holds the cones in and I am not able to find the replacement part online, so doesn't look like ill be using it anymore.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lou So disappointed!!
I just got this yesterday, as a birthday gift. I was so excited because I've been wanting an attachment for my KitchenAid, and this is my first one! I'm extremely disappointed to report that the only thing it does well is shred cheese. It absolutely mangled a cucumber, potatoes came out a gloppy mess, and the onions were pulverized. There is absolutely no difference between the thick and thin slicer, either.....neither one produces nice, uniformly cut veggies that are of any reasonable thickness that are usable in recipes. So, I have an extremely expensive cheese grater. This makes me incredibly apprehensive about buying any other attachments.....and I really really wanted the pasta roller and ravioli makers! At $150+ I don't know if I'm going to spring for those if they work anything like this slicer/shredder. So disappointed!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Carla Horrible Horrible Product
I recently purchased my kitchenaid... bought the shredder attachment right away. It does okay with cheese...Does much better after it has been placed in the freezer, as suggested.... Tried to make Cole slaw, and I had to push so hard on the lever to get the cabbage shredded.... Tried to slice onions.... That was horrible... IT MADE NOTHING BUT ONION JUICE!! In my opinion, it should slice through stuff like butter... not turn it into a gloppy, sloppy mess.... what a disappointment.... All my life I have wanted a KA mixer and tools, for such disappointments and hassle....HOW SAD! I should post the videos....
