Will this product get tackiness off stained wood

Wife stained retractable closet doors with about 240 slats but wiped them too late or not enough. Now the wood is very tacky and has extra stain that is difficult to remove with lint-less rags. Would this product just get rid of the extra stain on the wood or remove it all? She would not look forward to re-staining those again...
Asked by: DIYer
Some of the excess may be removed but not very much. Try using a scotch brite pad with the thinner.
