Product Overview

The Klean-Strip quart Boiled Linseed Oil is both a thinner for oil-based paints and a coating. As a thinner, it improves the flow and gloss of oil-based paints. As a coating, it creates a beautiful hand-rubbed finish on fine wood and antiques. It increases wood's resistance to watermarks, scratches and warping.

  • Formula designed to dry faster than raw linseed oil
  • Low-VOC formula
  • Applies with brush or cloth
  • Helps keep wood looking beautiful/

Yes. The boiled linseed oil in this brand contains Cobalt Salt, which will irritate your skin. It's hard to imagine that this product can still be legally sold in the market!

When you call their technical support during business hours, there are either nobody available to pick up phone call, or the person who take your phone call know nothing about any technical related questions of this boiled linseed oil product. One of its front desk person, a guy called Roy Brown, always responds customers' questions in pretty bad manner. Extremely rude and extremely inpatient! This company's management system is highly dysfunctional, which cause me to suspect the quality of its products!

Container's a bit hard to open and close and it doesn't pour as nicely as one would like since the spout is in the middle, but not a major problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product Great to use as a medium. I paint pictures and I use this to cut my paint sometimes w/o using thinner. It also let's your paint dry kinda flexible so it doesn't crack. So you can paint on wood, glass, rock, anything you want. When the temps expand and extract, using boiled linseed oil will prevent it from cracking....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Applied as a wood finish Applied product as a wood finish, though it does have other uses. When applied to dry wood, on a regular basis, it helps to protect the wood and has a hand rubbed appearance that was desirable for the planter box project.
