I used the prodcut for cleaning paint brushes after using applying polyurethane. I "agitated" and soaked the brush in the mineral spirits but ended up having the throw away the two brushes.

This might work for cleaning paint brushes on a small scale but I purchased to clean furniture after using a chemical stripper and ended up having to go back and buy the other kind because this was completely ineffective. Milky and filmy, not at all cleansing.

This white/milky type of mineral spirits, cuts through the grime and built up rosin and had NEVER harmed the varnish finish on the violins, violas, cellos and basses I have used it on.

It really cleans all the paint from the brush. I like the thick consistency, it adheres to brush and pulls out the paint. It has a mild smell. The price is also good.

This product works to thin out paint materials, however it makes for a poor cleaning solution for brushes and or spray guns given it's milky consistency and color. I unfortunately was working with a white paint which made it impossible to distinguish between what was thinner and what was actually paint material. Traditional (usually more hazardous) thinners are clear in nature and therefore offering visual aid to the cleanliness of the job.

Mineral oil is mineral oil. This worked as well as any other mineral oil. It was used to clean a shower floor prior to painting and to clean the brushes.
