Product Data states: rinse required. Does this mean I need to rinse the surface with fresh water after using the "After Wash"?

While reading "After Wash" technical information I noticed that there is a requirement for "Rinsing" after using the "After Wash" product. Does this mean to rinse the surface where I stripped the paint and them used the After Wash? Why not just rinse the surface after using the paint stripper?
Asked by: DixieDolittle
This product is to be used to remove or clean the residual of your stripping after scraping.

After the stripping gel and this product can I use paint? Or do I have to sand first ?

I want to update my old wooden furniture to a modern one and I want to paint it white. I know I need to sand it down first but I prefer not to (I hate sanding!) I wanted to use the Citristrip safer paint varnish stripping gel instead. Would that work? Do I need to get this product as well and after I use it can I start painting?
Asked by: Mya
No sanding is required.

I stripped two front doors with Klean Strip Paint /Varnish Stripper. It was great. But... and it's a BIG BUT... the After Wash was used on only the second door. It SOAKED right into the wood, and I had a really hard time removing it. Then... when my husband stained the doors... the one without the After Wash, dried quickly and very well, and the first coat of Spar Marine Varnish dried normally. The second door, which I had used the After Wash on WOULD NOT DRY! IT TOOK WEEKS to get the stain to DRY and 5 WEEKs more to get the first coat of Spar Marine Varnish to DRY ! --- and it got GUMMY! We're still trying to get the 1st coat to dry since there are still gummy spots. If we had not had TWO exactly alike doors, this would not have been so apparent! DO NOT BUY this product, please.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very potent odor This product works well but the smell is overpowering. We used it on kitchen cabinets that we stripped using the Citristrip, and every time I used this stuff I got a sinus headache! Even in a well ventilated room the smell gets to you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paintprods This product worked really well. I used a different brand of paint stripper and in addition to not removing the paint, the stripper itself left a very thick layer on top of the paint. I scraped it all day and it wouldn't come off. In desperation I used this after wash and it removed every bit of the paint stripper and even some of the underlying paint. Use heavy duty gloves, it's quite strong. Would highly recommend.
