Answer:
I used the Scotch-Brite scouring pads and they held up well. You can find them in the household section of Target, CVS, etc.

I want to update my old wooden furniture to a modern one and I want to paint it white. I know I need to sand it down first but I prefer not to (I hate sanding!) I wanted to use the Citristrip safer paint varnish stripping gel instead. Would that work? Do I need to get this product as well and after I use it can I start painting?

I used the Premium Paint Stripper then used the After Wash and while both products were good, the After Wash leaves white streaks in the wood. I want to stain this piece of furniture, but if I go to stain it the white streaks from the After Wash pick up. How do I remove the After Wash white streaks in the wood furniture to get this piece stain ready?

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very potent odor This product works well but the smell is overpowering. We used it on kitchen cabinets that we stripped using the Citristrip, and every time I used this stuff I got a sinus headache! Even in a well ventilated room the smell gets to you. May 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paintprods This product worked really well. I used a different brand of paint stripper and in addition to not removing the paint, the stripper itself left a very thick layer on top of the paint. I scraped it all day and it wouldn't come off. In desperation I used this after wash and it removed every bit of the paint stripper and even some of the underlying paint. Use heavy duty gloves, it's quite strong. Would highly recommend.
