Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JG thisis a metric not English standard bit
This bit loaded and operated properly but the drill bit was held in with allen nuts that turned out to be metric rather than English. There was no way to know this before using the extension. Trying to loosen the allen nuts caused them to be striped with allen wrenches that were the same as were used to tighten the nuts.
I had to purchase a screw extractor ($9:50) 2 metric allen nuts ($1.5 each) and ($17) set of metric wrenches.
Had the label on the extension said, metric wrenches only, this mess could have been avoided.

This drill extension is made to be used only with a Klein drills products. The bit holding hole is made undersized and can only be used with reduced shank bits. It should have been made with a 1/4" hole to accommodate common paddle bits. I mentioned this to klein tools and they basically said "too bad".
I attempted to enlarge the hole to a useable diameter with limited success.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Almost a good tool
Completely agree with the other reviewer. I cut out an outlet sized piece of drywall and needed to make a hole through the floor. Went with the larger size on this this tool hoping it would fit a 1/4" spade bit. But tool is just a bit too small to accept a standard bit. Fortunately, I found some very old spade bits in my collection that were slightly smaller and they fit. Worked well once I got the bit in there. I normally like Klein but this tool has a lot of room for improvement. As for value? It's basically a $22 steel rod.

Home Depot trashed my thoughtful review so all you get is a quick comment thanks to HD.
The set screws are not broached accurately -- See HD for details from my other review.
The extension will not receive standard 1/4" drill bit shanks -- See HD for my other review with details on dealing with this tempered metal when enlarging the hole.
I did swing a 2" Milwaukee hole saw up 9 1/2 feet to wall (through two floors and one firestop) with a modified 1/4" shaft Klein extension from HD -- See HD for my other review with details
