May be a little hard going through conduit, especially through 1" conduit. I used it to pull Cat 6 cable through an open wall and this model has the best head for holding Cat 6 cable firmly in place without damaging the cable end while pulling. Other brands and models of fish tape have much smaller heads and you would end up having to tape the cable to the fish tape end which then leaves sticky residue etc. Also, the tape feeds out pretty easily and pulls back in very easy. The trick is the hold the orange ring in one hand and the black handle in the other and rotate the handle around the ring to dispense or pull back the tape. Don't pull or push the tape itself out of or into the orange ring as it will bind. The tape is small and compact and easily fits in my over stuffed tool bag. I like it!

I used this product to pull 3 - 12 gauge solid wires through 1/2" CPVC conduit, which had 5 radius corners in different angles under driveway and through a 45' variable path. This is probably considered an advanced wire pull since it was not a straight line with 2 same angle or 180 bends or so. I had some difficulty snaking the flat steel through the bend maze. Ultimately, I had success after some attempts and it took a few strong pulls to "getter" done: Approx. 100 lbs. of pull. I am not Gorilla man, but I did deform the plastic housing on the first use and the tape loop due to those strong pulls. For my application with multiple and varied angle bends, maybe the better tool of choice would have been the fiberglass style fish tape that is insulated and may handle any angle bends better since the tape is round fiberglass instead of a flat blade of steel. But in general, Kline Tools makes very good stuff, just that this specific tool was not optimal to my job requirements.

I had to get a wire into a very tight drill hole in a stud under attic flooring to a below bedroom and this fished it perfectly. The tape itself is strong, yet flexible, which is exactly what you want in a fish tape. I'd recommend this product to anyone that needs to fish a wire more than 5 feet.

Little stiffness when roll in and roll out form the spool but otherwise good job at actual fishing. could use some marking on it to know how much you unroll/relative position behind the wall.

It worked just fine, I was a little unhappy that the "loop" at the end bent to a 45° angle as I was pushing through a kitchen soffit. I was able to straighten it but I know the steel work hardened and that bodes ill for the future.

However the first time I used it and tried to spoil it back, it had too much slack and was too tight to fit back in the housing. I had to take all of the tape out, and start over, paying closer attention to the tension.

I really like this one. It jammed on me a couple of times but you just have to adapt to different tools and how they work I guess. Once it got broken in it worked just fine.

The only problem was when I finished the last 12' was hard to rewind. I just had to pull it back out and it went back in just fine.
