I noticed that the Klein tools site now shows version 2.0 (55439BPTB) of the bag as well as version 1.0. Is Home Depot still selling the 1.0 version? (55456BPL) ?

Yes, this is the 1.0 version of the bag. The 2.0 version of the bag has a heavy duty zipper and better stitching throughout.

Tradesman Pro-Organizer Tech BackPack is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great bag for my usage I am a copier service tech. the back has plenty of room for all I need to carry to complete my repairs. the bottom allows it to sit on a flat surface and remain stable while accessing my tools/laptop. the section that sits against my back is well padded and comfortable. I have been in the service industry for 35 years and hope to be here for another 8. if this bags holds out as long as I do it will be better that any I have owned. I usually only get about 3 years out of a bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack This backpack is exactly what I was looking for. Plenty of pockets and stands by itself so I can actually use them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Small The bottom area needs to be 50% deeper front to back to allow inner areas to open up more. Laptop compartment fits a laptop tightly with no expansion room to use the other divided area. Difficult to get anything else, a.k.a. tester, label maker, anything with a thickness to it, etc. in since space front to back is tight. Could use more tool slots and also more exterior zippered storage pockets. Fine for light use with laptop and minimum number of tools or other items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Designed, sturdy product I bought this backpack for my son who is an electronics installer in large hotels. Not having an office or shop, he carries his tools and parts in the backpack on each job site. The pockets are handy to separate tools and electronic parts. The computer sleeve is perfect for storing a laptop and carrying it to each hotel room . The weight is distributed evenly so there is little fatigue from carrying it all day long. It qualifies as carry on luggage on airplanes. This is particularly good as he travels all over the world. The only negative thing I can say about it is that after using it for app. 3 weeks, the zipper pull came off of the zipper mechanism. Home Depot stood behind their product and replaced the backpack with a new one, which has given him no problem so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Backpack, but... Let me start by saying that this is a great looking backpack, it appears to be very well built and should withstand any abuse that you can throw at it. I really like that the tool section and "tech" section are separate, that way you don't risk your laptop/tablet getting marred up by your tools. There are a lot of pockets for putting stuff all over the place and the cushioning on the back by the straps is a very nice touch to make wearing it a lot easier and more comfortable. I also really like the rubber base/bottom, this should hold up well over time and provides a nice solid platform that should also protect against the elements. Now for the negatives, there aren't many, but they are important, first and foremost, the pockets for the tools are on the small side, so you have to be very aware of this when loading it up. I think a reasonable solution would be to put elastic on all of the pockets to make them a little more forgiving. The other downside, and it's probably to be expected, but the bag is a bit on the heavy side, even when empty, so needless to say, when loaded with all your tools and laptop, it's very heavy, but it is a heavy duty backpack, so you have to learn to live with it. All in all, I'm impressed by the quality, and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the tech field, it beats a lot of the other bags out there.
