I like the design of this covered, pivoting in- counter trash can. I had purchased one a few years ago for another house and was pleased to find that the product now ships with an adapter and instructions to install on US-style cabinets with overlay doors. Installation instructions were fairly easy to follow, though I had to make a few adjustments.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fdrdime Works great as compost bin.
I discovered the pull-out trash bin while traveling in New Zealand so I ordered this one to check them out. The instructions are inadequate in that they tell you to things to do but don't tell what the goal is from doing them. For my old cabinets It took a 1x4" board behind the facing to bring the plastic spacers out to the door opening. It seemed very easy to attach and it seals tight when door is closed. The bottom plate on the door must be attached close to the bin so it won't pop out when opening and closing the door. The wide opening makes it easy to avoid tossing coffee grinds about during use. I'm can't see what I would have gained by paying more.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by housemouse Very convenient
It's so convenient to have a trash bin under the sink with a tightly fitted lit that lifts up when you open the door. No odor escapes. The 12 qt. size is perfect and still leaves plenty of space for other items. It was easy to install.

It's a pain in the butt to put this, mainly on the framed cabinets. Comes off the hook way to easy.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed cheap product
I bought two for our bathroom. I would have expected a little more for the price. The materials were about as light and flimsy as you can get.
And fortunately, I read the description and was forewarned about needing a wood block to make it fit for typical U.S. cabinet applications.
All in all, it is as it's advertised. (But to think I could have bought a corded right angle grinder for less...)
If you're looking for a sturdy, high quality product, I would suggest spending a few more dollars and going with a different brand.

Poorly made with cheap plastic parts.
Lid does not close properly.
Templates for drilling holes did not align parts correctly.
Packaged it back up and threw it in the big garbage bin!

When this works as it did on the day I bought it - it is a very good product.
Unfortunately, as others have said, the plastic hinges break after some use.
They are not difficult to repair with a small torch and some wire nails (see the photos). After repairs it works just like new. However I understand this isn't possible for some people. I also don't like repairing something after only 1 year of use.
I would much rather pay more for this product and have it last for a few more years. 2 stars.
