Customer Questions & Answers

Does this come with these trash bins? Can I buy smaller one and mount on it?

Since it does not say anywhere what's included in this kit, I need to know if these trash bins/cans come with the order. If not, I am thinking of buying smaller one to suit me. Thank you in advance.

Can this be used with a single trash can instead of the double. My cabinet can only accommodate a can 14.5 x 10.5 x 20 ( 10-13 gallon) horizontally.

The depth of the cabinet is 22 inches but the pipes are in the way.

This specific unit is a double bin unit only. We also offer single bin offerings, such as our PLSW9-1-20-R-P, PSW10-1-35-R-P & PSW10-1-35-R-W that should fit your application.

Do I have to mount this in a cabinet?

Funny question. We have a counter with a drawer under it but no cabinet under that. It's the perfect place to tuck garbage cans out of the way (our only place, actually, as we have no available cabinets to mount cans) but we need to slide the garbages out from under the counter to throw things out. As you can see from the pic, we have a recycle can now, but our actual garbage (which needs a lid for obvious reasons) is next to it and too tall. So I decided it would be great to have a sliding can underneath the counter. (We can't top mount because the drawer bottom isn't flush to the counter's under-rim.) So my question is: Is it possible (with or without some kind of simple hack) to just have this on the floor instead of mounted in a cabinet, so that the garbages will slide out? Naturally we won't screw it into the floor, but we're willing to mount it to wood or weight it down or whatever if necessary. Just wondering if your general HD expertise can point us in the right direction! Thanks!

You do not have to mount the unit to a cabinet. The base does need to be mounted to a surface however. As you pull on the handle to extened the drawer slides they need to be mounted to ensure enough force to keep the base of the unit in place.

17.31 in. x 14.75 in. x 20.13 in. In Cabinet Pull Out Bottom Mount Soft Close Trash Can is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, but a comment on the installation. The installation instructions indicate bringing the front cross bar up to the edge of the inside cabinet frame and then making sure the cabinet door closes without interference. At this point they tell you to mount the unit to the base of the cabinet. But if you do this you will find that they then tell you at the end of the install to put end covers over the cabinet rails, which ended up interfering with the door closing properly due to them being 1/4" thick. So I had to drill new mounting holes after setting the unit back a 1/4" from the inside cabinet frame. So install these end caps BEFORE checking for closing clearance. Hope this helps someone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome and perfect size for standard kitchen cabinet At first, I ordered the 27 and 20 quart one; but they are too small. The 35 quart one fitted perfectly in my standard size kitchen cabinet. It is a good size for using one as recycle bin and one as garbage can, and I don't need to wait to fill them up for a long period of time to throw them out. The best thing is that it has fitted lids too. LOve them!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit perfectly under the sink with 1/4 inch to spare Exactly what I was looking for to fit under my sink. Most were too tall or wide. This had quality, slides easily and fit was perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent product The best that I could find! Price is high but could not find any other make regardless of price that compares. Would give it 5 stars except length dimension is 2 inches longer than spec listed, requiring me to cut holes in cabinet rear panel to install!
