Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use 2 of these side by side in a 24inch cabinet?

Asked by: Ralph
No, this unit is too large to have two in a 24-inch cabinet.

What is the little tray for?

Asked by: questioner
It is for storage. Many users use this space to store rolls of trash bags but you can use it to store anything you like that will fit this space.

Are the dimensions for the cabinet interior or the frame opening?

The interior of my cabinet is 14" wide, 22" high, and 22.75" deep. The opening at the frame in the front is 12" wide and 19" high. How do these sizes work? Should I be seeking something that matches the dimensions of the frame opening, or something that matches the interior cabinet dimensions? I would prefer a dual-bin top mounted product, but I don't know what products will work with my cabinet dimensions. This seems like a decent fit, but I also don't know if a 12" wide product would rub against a 12" wide frame opening and damage the cabinet.
Asked by: James
For a top-mount trash unit you need to accomodate the cabinet opening and have a cabinet that is dee enough for the unit. The unit will mount to the cabiet opening frame (aka: face frame). This unit requires a cabinet that is has a 12" wide x 17" tall cabinet opening and is at least 22.5" deep. This unit would fit your cabinet. We also offer double bin units but they require at least a 15" wide cabinet opening.

the width of my cabinet is 13.5 inches will this work or does the width need to be exactly the same?

Worried about the width of my cabinet being to large, also do the rails attach to side of cabinet or top of cabinet?
Asked by: alex
The width does need to be the same in order for the unit to work. I am assuming by your cabinet dimensions that you have a frameless 15” base cabinet. Unfortunately we do not design this product to install in a frameless cabinet. It is intended for a face frame cabinet. You could possibly add wood blocks to the side wall of your cabinet to make this work, but that was not how it was designed. We offer bottom mount products that will work with a frameless cabinet, such as our PSW10-1-35WH, BSC10-1-35WH or our USC12-1-35WH.

17.5 in. x 12 in. x 22.5 in. In Cabinet Pull Out Top Mount Trash Can is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way Superior to Rev-a-Shelf I've run through 3 of the Rev-a-Shelf trash can pull-outs in the last 5 or so years...the kind with the rails near the bottom of the can. After having those rails either bend or the plastic ball bearings fall out, I decided to try this and am very pleased with the purchase. This slides very easily, quietly, and smoothly and the mounting towards the top of the can seems like it will make this one far less likely to bend when my wayward household members try to compress just a little more trash into an over-full can to avoid taking it outside! I've had this now for maybe 2 months and no signs of bending I experienced very early with the other designs. The only drawback/warning is that the width of this not adjustable. My cabinet opening is something like 12.5-12.75 inches and was too wide to mount the bracket. I added some blocking to narrow my opening...easy fix, just takes a little more time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from K&V top mount trash can It took a little longer to install then expected, but the finish product is very functional! Our last garbage drawer was a wire under mount and get jammed all the time.this one glides easy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works & fits good The trash can system overall is good, the only problem I have is the trash bags have nowhere to tuck in around the edges of the can, it's hard to tuck them in around the cut out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best addition to the kitchen High quality product that exceeded our expectations. Should have installed one of these years ago. A bit tricky to install, but the instructions are very good - just take your time if doing this yourself. The door placement is critical, so measure twice, and re-measure again. We ordered the lid as well, and you will definitely need it. The small rack at the back is great for storing dishwasher pucks if you don't use it for the garbage bags.
