We reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great choice Works great does what I expected it to do does what it is advertised July 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Compact and Cool Fits well in vehicle and holds the equivalent to 9 soda cans plus. September 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product performed very well. I am so glad I purchased this cooler! It transported our food nicely in the car. We had ordered the adaptor as well, which was essential! We spent a week in a hotel that ran out of ice daily and had only 5 refrigerators for 500 people attending a convention. The cooler meant there were only 499 vying for those refrigerators. It kept our food cold, almost too cold. The hum is constant so it was more like a white noise rather than disruptive like things that cycle on and off. July 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Perfect, Solid Construction, Quiet. This unit is wonderful, starts cooling almost instantly and runs quiet (Constant low hum of the fan). A quick test showed it able to cool down from room temperature 25C to 2C in no time and maintain it. March 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect answer to limited diet! This cooler fits perfectly behind the front seat of my car! The perfect answer, not only for trips,: but also to be sure food is refrigerated and available for someone in my family who is on a severely limited diet. --- just "in case." June 11, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! We bought this so that we could carry my husband's meds with us while on vacation and it worked beautifully. The unit fits conveniently behind the front seat of the car so it's not in the way. It worked very reliably for us. We packed in some ice packs just to make sure, since we had never used the cooler before and his meds are expensive. That turned out to be a good idea because one day we forgot to plug it in for several hours in the Florida sun. It kept his meds cool with no problem, so it has reasonably good insulation. We also bought the Koolatron AC power adapter at the same time. The cooler is very easy to carry in and it fits beautifully on a luggage rack. The power adapter gives you a great sense of security. We found the temperature was more reliable on the cooler on AC than for the in-room fridge in several hotels as the fridge was freezing our water bottles. The one trick to the power adapter is that you have to be careful to get the contacts lined up. The plug is not designed so that there is only one "right" way to plug it in. So, you just need to be careful lining the contacts up. March 13, 2012
