Maybe your feed valve from the wall is turned down too much? Perhaps a pinched line inside the fill valve? Some foreign material stuck in a line?

How do I adjust the height of the gmax flo valve

How do I adjust the height of the valve assembly to shut off water sooner. It now flows into the overflow pipe.
Asked by: Edward
Take a look at the image of the valve, you should be able to move it down. I had to for the same reason, water level was too high and flowing into the overflow pipe (in fact, I had to adjust it 3 times to get the right level).

I just needed the valve, but the version I had was no longer made. I think it took @ 30 minutes to remove the old one, install the new one and make a couple of adjustments to set the right height. We have used this for about a week and it is so much better than the old one.

I bought 4 of these, a week or so after installing the valve[s] would not fully close . After flushing, would have to tap the top of the valve to get it to fully close. All 4 valves that were purchased are doing this. I would not recommend this product.

Had 2 older toilets that had slow leaks and decided to do complete tank hardware replacements. Tried the universal Korky valve and flapper kit on the first toilet and it worked without any issues. Quick and easy to install, quick and easy to adjust. After such good results decided to go with same setup on 2nd toilet. Noticed the QuietFill version was compatible with my Kohler brand toilet and was a little cheaper. Along with new supply shut off valves and all new tank hardware both toilets operate like new and are very quiet for a total of less than $45. I would highly recommend trying this newer style of shutoff valve when replacing the shutoff on an older toilet. It will need to last at least 5 years to earn 5th star.

I recently began hearing a hissing noise. Upon inspection I discovered the rubber flapper is disintegrating and allowing water to seep down from the tank. The rubber has turned a pink color and is flaking off in little pieces. Because this part was included in the kit, I would have to return all the parts to get them replaced under the 5 year warranty. I hope the HD sells just the flapper because the fill valve is working properly and I don't want to replace it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Working great I have had this installed for a couple weeks now and has been doing a good job. Was easy to install (took me less then 10 minutes). Typical replacement fill valve nothing special. I like how you turn and click to set the level on the full valve, super easy. The flapper part is cheap. My old one had plastic holding the rubber which worked better but this one does the job needed so far. Overall happy with my purchase so far. We will see how long it lasts now.

I replace three to four basic toilet valve kits each week for my customers - this product is cost effective, never had a call back due to leaks or problems with operation and is an easy universal installation. Since you already have it disconnected I suggest you purchase and install a Stainless Steel braided supply hose when replacing the toilet kit. Just smart and economical preventative maintenance for the homeowner.

The installation of this valve was straightforward and the instructions were clear. The valve itself seems fine, although it bothers me that there is no way to adjust this valve to raise or lower the water level. I have set it according to specifications and the water level is dangerously close to that of the flush handle, and I worry that if the water flows a half centimeter higher, it will leak out the flush handle port. The real weakness of this kit is the flapper. This is very poorly designed. My previous flapper had a rigid plastic connection and held securely to the mount. This flapper connection is floppy and pops off the mount if the toilet handle is operated with much vigor, causing the outlet to remain open, water to flow continuously, and the tank never fills until the flapper is replaced on the mount--seriously bad design! I reinstalled my old flapper and discarded the new one.
