I called Korky and tech support told me that usually only the seal in the cap goes bad. I replaced the cap and the toilet worked perfectly!

After replacement it worked great, but shortly after only 5 flushes it failed, no water coming out of the tube. I'm never buying a Korky product ever again, they are cheap and too unreliable.

Purchased to replace one in a Toto that had developed a pin hole and was acting & sounding strange while filling after each flush. Fit perfect & solved the problem immediately. Great solution since only a few dollars and you only have to replace this part and not the entire guts.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beth Easy fix to a toilet running!
Korky customer service is the best at helping you diagnose any korky problem. This was an easy and inexpensive fix. I highly recommend a korky fill valve in your toilet as you can easily repair any of its components and the technical support is awesome.

The folks over at Korky helped me diagnose my problem and then told me the part I needed to purchase in order to fix my problem. I was replacing a Korky product, but if you tell them your part number from a different manufacturer, they can recommend a comparable product. Anyway, One trip to Home Depot and a couple of dollars = problem solved. I couldn't be more pleased with the way they manufacture their products. It's construction allows you to replace parts that may go bad over the years rather than having to replace the entire unit or God forbid the entire toilet like I though I would have to. My only regret is that I waited this long to fix my toilet. Thank you Korky and Home Depot.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TMACK Not great.
Don't know how cheaply the plastic is on the newer models, but when I replaced this recently I had a backup reserved for just this situation. Plasitic tabs on leaking (red rubber had pinpiont leak) cap snapped off while carefully removing it and the replacement cap ear tab for float attachment snapped off when putting on (gently). To add insult to injury, it leaked even worse than the broken cap. This was stored in my garage, protected from light and heat. Seems like it is too fragile to perform this most vital function for our society. When will companies devise something that will last a lifetime, and make it out of something that won't end up in a landfill?

First of all, kudos to Korky for not requiring a complete valve replacement. This inexpensive replacement cap can be swapped out whenever the diaphragm wears out.
Second of all, insanely great customer service. I had trouble with the replacement cap not fully sealing. A call to Korky resulted in the rep patiently walking me through a procedure to clean out the float housing and flip over the circular rubber pad on the float that contacts the valve (apparently a depression can develop over the years so it doesn't press down hard enough to fully seal the valve). Problem fixed! Thanks Korky.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bassman works great on Toto Drake model toilets
Siimple to install, no tools needed. Lift off the top cover of the fill valve, squeeze ears to remove the existing cap and install the new one. Put the top cover back on and you're done.
