I went with 7, 2-panal cherry, interior slab doors for my NYC apartment; the product is terrific and the service was super from store associates to shipping & recieving to customer service it was all smooth sailing. Good job HOME DEPOT from the guy in NYC formerly known as "never happy with the service"...

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Donny Great look but I had to de-warp 2 out of 4
Product has a great look with a pretty thick veneer and feels solid. But 2 of my 4 doors arrived warped and I had to de-warp them, using weights and humidity on one side. I know how to do that but I shouldn't have to! Your typical person would have returned them.

We purchased three of these doors to replace cheap luan pocket doors in our home. These are one piece doors designed to look like stile and rail- although it's abundantly obvious they are one piece units.
Despite having a large, covered, front porch, the delivery guys just dropped them in our driveway. It was fortunate that we came home from work early that day as it rained quite heavily shortly thereafter. The doors were individually shrink wrapped, placed inside cardboard boxes and individually strapped to a massive pallet- a real hassle to cut up, or otherwise dispose of!
Because of the HDF core, I expected they would be dimensionally stable, but they are not! Two were warped on delivery and the third warped in the shop. (Note: I have a cabinet shop kept at a consistent 23C, 45% RH.) I tried to straighten the worst door but didn't achieve much success. This makes me question how stable these doors will be over time, once hung.
The veneer looks great although it is no thicker than a piece of 20# paper- really, the technology used to cut this stuff is just amazing. This makes any sanding and finishing a perilous task. To make things more difficult, each door had waves on the stiles creating high and low areas, e.g. the thickness of the door varied. The lock rail also has a slight ridge running along its length. It must be a defect in the mold, since each defect was in the same place, and identical, on all three doors. This made it very difficult not to 'burn through' the veneer while sanding; especially after applying multiple coats of finish.
The (Chinese) cherry is much lighter in color than the typical American cherry. This will lead to a contrast if using (local) cherry molding around the door. The color and grain pattern were consistent and, overall, very nice.
I applied a pre-stain conditioner, a clear oil stain and four coats of spar varnish (long oil varnish) and buffed the final coat to a low sheen. The veneer took the stain well and, aside from the ultra-thin veneer and uneven surface areas, finished well.
The doors have a robust frame around all the edges that provides more than enough strength for attaching hardware (hinges, handles, pulls, pocket door brackets, etc.)
Due to the lack of dimensional stability (warping), and waves in the stiles, I cannot recommend these doors for purchase. The thinness of the veneer makes finishing difficult but, with constant vigilance, not impossible. Although, I would be cautious with the vacuum cleaner as I'd imagine a good bang could be quite deleterious to the veneer.
To be fair, and put the quality and price point of this door into some perspective; the Depot also sells a prehung (American) cherry door (on special order) of much higher quality (real stile and rail) that sells for around five-hundred fifty dollars in MD. The two I purchased did have excessive glue squeeze-out around the door panels; they should not be glued in place anyway. My cost in (solid) lumber to build, just the door, is around four hundred dollars.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Billd Beautiful Cherry Panel doors is an outstanding value
After installing new Cherry kitchen cabinets I was looking for a matching interrior paneled door. This Crosscore cherry veneer door was a perfect match. It was less than 1/3 the cost of a solid cherry door yet looks and feels the same. Also this is an ecco friendly way to save cherry wood. Well made, solid, just an outstanding value. Shipped directly to my door in perfect condition.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Dwight Big mistake buying these doors, not wide enough!!!
Doors not wide enough, will look terrible with 1/8" extra gap on each side. My current doors are exact at 32" wide, 30" wide, and 24" wide. I was just going to route out the hinge plate area and hang the doors, now I have to return them because they are not wide enough. Good looking door, however.
