3.5 cu. ft. Belt Drive Mixer Fully Assembled with Stand is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice product Does just what I need. The drum is powerful and quiet. I'm using it to mix mortar to re-stucco an entire house foundation, and this makes the job a lot easier than hand mixing. Very sturdy construction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am very pleased with the Kushlan concrete mixer I am using the mixer to mix type "N" mortar with coarse sand for laying field stone. The mixer is easy to move around the work site and does a great job mixing the mortar very quickly. The motor is well suited to the volume and weight of the suggested mix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy I had to put a drain tile and sump in our (existing ) basement. After all the jackhammering and digging, I purchased this for the concrete work. It fit through the doors so we could get it into the basement. Mixed 80+ bags two at a time. No problems at all with the mixer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Barrel design and blade mixer design is FLAWED I purchased this unit to initially mix aggregate for a 15 x 20 rebar reinforced patio. Before I began, my wife requested I mix several soils for her garden and flowers. She bought a quite a few 40 lbs bags of manure compost, topsoil, compost and a couple bales of peat moss. It appeared to be able to hold two 40 lbs bags and a few scoops of peat moss. It does hold it and then some. Unfortunately the design of the plastic barrel, the mixing blades and the gear ratio spinning the barrel are all flawed. The barrel spins too quickly. You cannot adjust the speed. Everything stays clumped in the back. I thought that was odd. I had to reduce to one 20 lbs bag AND lift the rear legs up to properly mix. I knew the same problem would occur with rock aggregate. I could only put one bag of cement aggregate in at a time. The rocks accumulated to the back and accumulated WITH the spinning two blades because of the fast rotation and gravitational pull. The first dump out for of the patio was horrible. Rocks in the center while cement oozed to the sides. Totally uneven. It was not an improper water ratio mix. I've been doing cement projects for 17 years for family. I've used other manufacturers with bigger steel barrels with great success. Unfortunately I find the Kushlan design to be flawed for my purposes. I was hoping to use this as a light weight mixer when traveling to family member's homes and projects. It is lightweight and cleans easily. Two grease fittings. Since you cannot control the motor or geared spin revolutions, and the barrel rotation is too fast, it makes it much more difficult for specific mixes.
