Answer:
As for gauge I have used just your standard 16 with a 50 foot cord. One thing to remember is that the cord is usually going to get wet.

Answer:
Hi Tom,
We recommend using at least a 12-gauge extension cord at 25' and a 10-gauge extension cord for any length greater than that. This will improve the performance and longevity of the motor.

I used a 100' 12 gauge extension cord and it was just fine. I suspect a 14 gauge could also be used.

Answer:
Weight not really a factor; volume is a factor. This mixer will only handle (4) 80 lbs. bags of mix along with 4 to 5 gallons of water (Approximately 360 lbs.) . This is the max volume. You cannot put anymore in it.

Answer:
You can mix (4) 80 lbs. bags at one time. You may push it to (4.5) 80 lbs. bags, but that is the limit. The mixer can more than handle the weight, but go more than (4) 80 lbs. bags, the mixture will be right at the top.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great machine so far Have done a few pours and so far has performed just fine and has saved a tremendous amount of time. I'm happy with the purchase and I'm glad I got the 600 rather than the 350 model because of the capacity even though I don't push it to max capacity. For those that have lamented the inability to pour into a wheelbarrow, I made a platform from wood scraps to lift it high enough to solve that problem, don't need the frame they sell. Necessity is the mother of invention. As others have noted, there is some clumping of material toward the back. Hasn't bothered me. Is generally a fairly small amount and I spray it loose between mixes. I'll give it 5 stars for performance and how it fills my basic concrete needs but as mentioned in an earlier review, the fit and finish relating to assembly leaves some what to be desired. I'd buy another one and recommend it to others. October 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great product extremely easy to assemble and operate. would have been helpful to know before leaving the store you needed to buy gear oil. other than that works great. October 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's ORANGE, it's cool WITH 300LBS OF READY MIX IT'S EASY TO SPILL A LITTLE BIT WHEN MOVING TO DUMP, NEED A BOARD UNDER THE RAILS TO GET THE LAST LITTLE BIT OUT AS MENTIONED BY A PREVIOUS RATING. OTHER THAN THAT WITH A 180 BAGS OF #50 REDI-MIX IT HAS WORKED FINE, THE SWEAT IS A NO CHARGE EXTRA. October 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD PRODUCT, POOR MANUAL Product works well and seems well made. The instructions to assemble however are fairly poor. Specifically regarding the adding of gear oil to motor. The only indication of this was on a sticker on outside of box. I called the company twice while assembling and got the same person who was not that knowledgeable. Just a warm body to answer the phone. September 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great So Far! This mixer is a fantastic machine for the price. Expect to do some thinking when assembling it; the instructions were muddled by translation, but that's typical. There are conflicting instructions about adding gear oil as well. The paperwork says one thing and the machine was shipped with a sticker that says the opposite. I had to call customer service to see what to believe. Mine has about twenty or so hours of use so far with no sign of problems. It's light enough to carry over concrete forms, loads and dumps easily because the barrel is low to the ground, and cleans out nicely. The only clue to its cheap price is in the flimsy handles. They're flimsy, but they work. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by As concrete mixers go, this was a very good choice I've so far had relatively little opportunity to make use of this mixer. However, based on the work I've so far done with it, I'm very happy with my choice. Assembling it was easy...a definite plus as related to my experience with my previous mixer. I did encounter one question from the instructions, the answer to which seemed ambiguous. A brief phone call to the support line noted in the documentation quickly resolved my question. Functionally speaking, the mixer appears to work flawlessly and will easily handle the mixing of a reasonably large load of concrete per sitting. Additionally, the plastic drum helps to diminish the amount of work required to keep the mixer clean. I feel this concrete mixer was a great choice and I highly recommend it. July 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice tool Very satisfied with this mixer great product for diy user. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice mixer This mixer works great, just follow the directions about adding water before the cement. It will mix four 80 pound bags, but I've found that five 60 pounders is a breeze and it's easier on me. It would have gotten 5 stars except that the product description failed to point out that you also need to purchase gear oil with this machine before you can put it into service. No biggie, but I'd have like to have it on-hand when I assembled the mixer (also a breeze, btw.) July 18, 2016
