Can the key match my current lock?

I currently have the handle/deadbolt combination that both use the same key. This would replace my deadbolt. So is there a way the physical key that comes with this could be matched (for lack of a better term) to the key that I use for the handle? Just trying to eliminate the need for carrying 2 keys for the same door. Thanks!

Kevo comes with a smart key that allows you to re-key so that you can use your old key. Re-keying process takes about 30 seconds and the included instructions manual explains it well.

Answer:
The key would need to be Kwikset compatible. I have 4 doors, each with a handle/deadbolt combination lock. I replaced one deadbolt with the Kevo and have them all keyed for the same key.
You just need to make sure your key works with Kwikset. If its a Kwikset combination of locks, then they will.

Answer:
If your current lock is made by Kwikset then yes, because this Kevo has the Smartkey capability and you can rekey this Kevo yourself. You can do a Google search on the Kwikset Smartkey technology.
If your current lock is NOT a Kwikset then you'd have to take this unit to a locksmith and have them key it to your current key.

My Kevo mentions no wireless connectivity other than BlueTooth.
That means it does not communicate via WiFi or Z-Wave.
You cannot control Kevo remotely.
It will only lock or unlock if you are within about 2 feet with your BlueTooth iPhone.
Maybe Kevo 2.0 may have wireless connectivity?

No, not at this time. There is no remote or automatic functionality. Kwikset did announce an add-on device for remote locking/unlocking for the lock but no word if they are adding the functionality you mentioned.

I like that feature. But I have not found a way to do this with my Kevo.
One thing I don't like about the Kevo is that the inside deadbolt lever is about half the size of a regular deadbolt lever. Gloved hands may have a little trouble flipping the Kevo deadbolt lever.

Answer:
Kevo does not have an auto lock feature. Instead Kevo features "Triple Touch Lock": You might use Triple Touch Lock if you are using only a standard key in your system but wish to lock the door by touch, if your smartphone or fob is disabled, or if you have a visitor in your home that will leave and lock the door behind them.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wait for Kevo2 I installed Kevo which was very easy. After two days of operation I realized that once I used my smartphone to get into the house there was no method to lock the door automatically once inside. The door would remain unlocked all night !! NOT GOOD. The lock could only be secured manually, which doesn't make sense since I'm using my smartphone to get in. I emailed Kevo to complain only to be told they are coming out with Kevo2 which will lock automatically from you smartphone once inside. So, I returned Kevo and will be waiting for the release of Kevo2. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! I love my new deadbolt lock so well that I just had to purchase the plus. The upgrade ended up being another 100 dollars which was a surprise but we'll worth it.im thinking of ordering another lock for another entry door. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kevo Bluetooth LOck The Kevo lock and installation was easy to installed and the touch system to gain access is amazing because no keys are needed. Also synchronizing it to my smartphone makes it more reliable and easy to use. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Malfunctioning Product motor engaged when touched but would repeatedly jam. August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Recommended Sometimes the lock did not unlock and other times it took too long to unlock. I took it off and returned it. Home Depot was good on the return. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Finally home technology that works Installation: Comparable to a standard deadbolt. I will say I did have to try the calibration steps a few times (likely user error if I'm being honest) but once it was one I was up and running. Appearance: From the outside you wouldn't necessarily know this was high-tech. I was a little concerned that the blue light might draw attention/make it a target. Not at all the case. Blue light ("tech features") only activate once touched to unlock. Worry not! Durability/Security: I've had this installed for well over a year and have had ZERO issues. ZERO. I LOVE the ekey functionality (revoke whenever you want. Perfect for housesitters/pet sitters/housecleaners). No need to rekey. Honestly it's a crucial feature that I overlooked at the outset. I love this thing and have recommended it to all of my friends/family. Only limitation is the Apple integration (so no dice for Android users). Cant recommend enough! May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dolittle Easy to install. Works great . I even upgraded. I also sent several ekeys and they worked March 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great tech addition! setup (not installation) was a little tricky with regard to the app and the proximity calibration. but install of the lock was typical. the smart key function is a great addition to ensure a "one key" use for the whole house. also took some getting used to as using a key is stuck in our brains. but the family picked up on it fairly quick. the key fob for non smart phone users is great but wish it came with 2. its expensive and there are a lot of better quality locks available but i would still recommend.
