The knob should now move away from the mounting plate and you should see the two Phillips head screws which hold the lock together. Read Less

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Oval shape is geat We didn't want a lever on this door, but also didn't want a round door knob as it was hard to get leverage to turn the knob of the original handle - I think the weather affected the functionality of the knob, getting blistering hot in the setting sun (door faces west) of the summer and freezing cold in the winter. Being oval, this doorknob allows us a solid grip on the handle to provide the leverage required to open the door. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice feel Adds a nice feel to my new home I did same series inside but was disappointed kwikset didn't offer the door plates they do for their other locks to make them a little more classy. For a couple hundred bucks more I could have got adifferent brand that had classier plates but wasn't in my budget. The egg knob feels good but not noticeable with the round door plate until you grab hold of it. January 15, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Laurel Knob, Oval I replaced several Lido style lever doorknob handles with these oval knobs in order to mount plantation blinds onto the patio doors. These handles do not operate as smoothly as the other Kwikset signature handles I used throughout the house, but the oval shape gives better grip/leverage than the round handles. Would I buy again, probably not, but these handles are sufficient at this time. May 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality and easy installation! Installation instructions were easy, especially using the smartkey function. Looks beautiful and operates flawlessly! March 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I was replacing an existing knob with one that locks, and the install literally took like 2 minutes. The smart key feature is also great as you can quickly re-key the knob without needing a locksmith. January 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would Not Recommend Purchased this entry knob and the 907 Powerbolt Series keyless entry. Knob assembly completly broke in 1/2 less than 60 days after install. Front and rear of this lock is held together by a flimsy set key. It will break with normal usage. Also, the keyless entry is malfunctioning, the bolt will not fully retract. Giving that product a poor review also. Door knobs/locks should last more than 60 days! August 25, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid product with a nice look This handle is a solid piece of hardware that works well and looks great. The installation is a snap and the smart key technology really is as simple and functional as it is hyped to be. I rekeyed my lock in about 30 seconds, following the instructions provided. September 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by attractive design I wanted something with a little more flair than a traditional knob. I really like the way these look. They also fit my small hands very well. Although I had someone else install them, they seemed fairly easy to install. The hidden fasteners gives them a nice, clean look. August 14, 2012
