Customer Reviews

SmartCode 909 Contemporary Single Cylinder Polished Chrome Electronic Deadbolt Featuring SmartKey is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 235.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb, functional, intuitive lock. I bought this for the automatic lock function. My grand-kids would bolt through front door and the race to the street was on. Fortunately Grandpa won them all , but I wasn't ready to risk it. This eliminated the unlocked front door. I love this thing. I've had it for several years now, we just bought a new one in bronze for our new door. No more sweating the house key, no fumbling in the dark, no issues passing keys to neighbors or friends house/dog sitting. Just add a combination for them and they're good. I ask them what combination they would like and put it in. Completely cool. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Auto lock is Key (no key intended) I installed this on my garage entrance, it is perfect due to the fact that my garage is not attached to my house, the keypad makes for simple entry and I don't have to search for a set of keys to get in and out. If I forget to lock up, not a big deal. Kwikset does it for me!!! I have one on my main entry as well, I love it because I can walk the dogs and never have to worry about leaving the house unsecured or carry keys!! Great product, want to buy some more, probably going to try the Bluetooth next. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love that Lock We have been fans of code-locks since our teenager lost his 3rd set of house keys. This was a great problem solver for all of us. No more fumbling for keys in the cold and dark(been there), or locking yourself out (done that), or having to rush home to let someone in. We can have a code for the kids, one for parents and inlaws, and one for contractors (just give them your "throwaway" code, then overwrite it later). We'll never go back to "key-only". Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to tranfer I love this look, it is easy, has two settings so I can give one to the cleaners and have one for myself, the combination is easy to change, and when I got into a new home I could easy take it with me, easy to install and I feel save, better than having a traditional look. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Features are great. I have had this lock for about 2 1/2 yaers now. It seems to have developed a problem within the mechanism. doesn't always unlock. if you use the key its fine. maybe a gear inside might be going. batteries are new. Its the mechanics itself. Will try and call and see what kind of Support and customer service I get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product ! I bought this several months ago and I am very happy with it. Very easy to install and use. I really like the Smart Key function. I can use one key for several locks. I also just bought another one for a good friend and installed it for her and she loves it ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've owned the Smartcode 909 for 6 months now and am completely satisfied with it. I liked it so much that I talked my neighbor into buying one and helped her install it... installation is easy (I installed mine also, and I'm 74 years old). Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love m keyless entry! I have had this product for more than 5 years and will never go back to a keyed entry. Just the simple entry of your code and the door is unlocked. No need to hassle with keys although I do keep one with me "just in case". It its battery operated so there is always the risk of the battery being dead. The indicator light lets you know when its time to change it so that should not be a problem. Battery life is more than a year and AA batteries are used so there are always spares when the time comes. The product has a lifetime guarantee which I needed to take advantage off a few months ago. The mechanism failed so I contacted Kwikset by phone and they were prompt to send me a replacement without hassles. The convenience of being able to have multiple codes which is great as it allows you to set up temporary access to others such as a roommate. It can simply be cancelled when the time comes rather than having to go through to hassle and expense of changing the locks. . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
