Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Completely Dissatisfied This purchase is only a few weeks old and has been used less than 15 times...already the ash grill has burned out. We intend to try to return it this weekend. I would definitely not recommend this fireplace grate. The product did come promptly and the staff at the service desk were great. Let's see how it goes when we try to return the grate. March 31, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 30 inch steel grate too lite duty for a wood fire I bought the grate with up most convenience and was sadly let down within a 2-3 day period. The center of the grate melted base of the fire box. Now it was not get enough air to burn the wood. This was purchased 10/29/09 and used for 3 or 4 fires. Then I noticed the fire popping all the time. After close inspection I see what had happen. I quite using the fireplace as we were leaving for the Holidays and did not have time to deal with at that point. I did talk to a very nice young lady to bring it back, she has had a similar problem with a smaller unit. January 9, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Grate is very poor quality Ember retainer fell off after 3 fires. The grate is already breaking down due to heat and we've only used it about 10 times. Won't even last one season. Cheaply made, expected more for the 48 bucks I paid for it. Now I see it's only 20. Wouldn't be worth 20 either. March 13, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by fireplace crate received this fireplace crate for christmas 2009. Used it only during the cold week in January. The wire bottom melted and the front of the crate bent. It allowed a log to roll out of the fireplace and burn a place in our hardwood floors. This is going back to Home Depot!! January 25, 2010
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well, but very flimsy I got this last winter & it needs replacing already. It didn't retain its shape, so this year, it's lower on one end then on the other. I didn't have a problem with the bottom melting like the other reviewer said, but I can forsee this happening if I use it all this winter. I'm looking at the 30" size right now, since I need a new one, but if I could find another brand, I'd go with it in a heartbeat. So I'm basically settling for this one. Overall, it worked ok, but it seems to be very cheaply made. Probably ok for one winter, but not for more than one. December 4, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TRASH dont waste your money !!! Will work w/ gas logs but will not last more then a year or two !!! It melts away to nothing. The ash retainer will last about 5 fires or your self a favor and and bye a [ cast iron grate ] it will last forever .... November 5, 2011
