It's what I expected. You'll have to screw the top and bottom pieces together. Hardware is supplied but miss-matched - nuts were not all the same and make of cheap material, not a big deal. You do have to be careful because you could over tighten and strip. I didn't, but I've seen these kind of nuts before. Use screws on the base (not provided) if you think you'll ever take it apart. If nailing you will need Tyco type nails.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RonS2013 Best firewood rack available for the price
These firewood racks are light-weight and easy to assemble and allow you to make them fit in your space by varying the length of the 2x4's. I started with 1 set and now have 6! In the winter I move one to our garage for dry, split wood, with the others outside holding whole or 1/2 logs for seasoning.

Product came with everything that it promised and had everything needed to make a nice little wood rack while still leaving the option for expansion in the future.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HoneyDoMan Firewood rack brackets
I used ten foot 2x4s (any length will work) with the brackets and cross-braced them at the ends and in the middle with scrap pieces. To keep the lumber off the ground I set them on cinder blocks. Be sure the assembly sits level. I've had the brackets for only a few weeks so I don't yet know how well they will hold up over the years, but they appear to be strong and rust-proof. To help them last longer, I suggest not leaning a great deal of weight against them. After stacking the firewood, I covered it with plastic tarps (from Home Depot!). The only thing I would change about the brackets is to make them a foot taller so I could stack another layer or two of firewood.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pappy Great idea for a custom fit
Easy to assemble but you have to pay attention to the alignment of the brackets and where the drill holes are to make sure they line up on the exterior. Otherwise, you'll spend some time disassembling and reassembling the posts. I needed a custom size brackets for a short deck and bought the fir 2x4s and had them cut to length at the store. You need some deck screws to secure the metal post to the lumber but otherwise no major issues and the rack works well. In the summer simply remove the screws for easy storage of the posts and the lumber. Simply idea, very handy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GNAC Quick Easy Custom Organization of Wood Pile
This unit ships unassembled.
It takes about 10 minutes to assemble, if you know the difference between a flat headscrew driver and a phillips screwdriver.
I like the idea of the length being customizable by adjusting the length of the 2X4 used for the bottom rail. My location was not a standard size - who plants trees at standard distances in anticipation of having a wood pile between them?
I wish there was an option to buy recycled plastic rails instead of a standard 2X4 or a pressure treated one.
All-in-all, the unit is exaclty what we needed to organize our wood pile ( sourced mostly from falling limbs during recent storms).
