Hi Sparky.
Thank you for your question.
You should wait about 2 months before applying your fertilizer unless otherwise instructed by the manufacturer. The average amount of time between applications of fertilizer is 2 months.
However, with a lighter nitrogen base as with this Lesco Weed and Feed, you would probably be safe fertilizing every 6 weeks.
Remember that when using a Weed & Feed, you want to be sure that the grass is damp to the touch before you apply the Lesco Weed & Feed.
Do not water for 24 to 48 hours after application. If it rains within the first 24 hrs. the weed kill ability of this product will be minimized tremendously.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Customer Reviews

50 lb. Weed and Feed Professional Fertilizer 18-0-9 is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weeds are still growing. Checked out the reviews before purchase and thought I was getting a product that killed weeds and fertilized at a much better price then Scotts. Well, I followed the directions to the letter, getting up by 630 AM and applying to a lawn that was VERY WET with DEW. The lawn did not receive ANY RAIN for 4 full days afterward. Last night my lawn received almost 4 inches of rain. Anyway, the weeds are growing all over the lawn now (different types too), and have not noticed ANY dying weeds anywhere. Even used a high setting on my fertilizer spread (setting 7), which was about 2 notches higher then recommended to put more weed and feed down. Evidently the larger granules with this product do NOT stick to the weeds like the smaller granules with Scotts. Sure the lawn is greener and growing faster, but if I'm buying a WEED and Feed, the WEED part better work (and it isn't). Oh well, guess I'll just have to spot treat the whole darn yard with Roundup!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! This is the BEST weed and feed product I have ever used. We had LOTS of weeds in our bermuda grass due to neighbor's weed infested yards and the March winds blowing the seeds into our yard. I put this on after a rain (grass was wet) so the granules could stick to the weeds. I waited almost a week to mow. It rained a couple of days after I applied the product and the grass got a good drenching. This was about 3 weeks ago, I've mowed 3 times since application. My lawn is DEEP beautiful GREEN and TOTALLY WEED FREE! I'll use this product as long as it's sold and available to me. It is INCREDIBLE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practically error free A neighbor 10 years ago was a salesman for Lesco and used to give me free product. He explained the difference with Lesco and other brands. This is the same exact product professionals use, including golf courses. I have since moved and lost my free supply. I tried cheaper brands, never got the same results. The cheaper brands are more likely to burn and do not have the time release benefits of Lesco. I've never burned my lawn with Lesco and the time release formula keeps the lawn green for 2-3 months easily. I have two acres and while my neighbors pay almost $200 a month to get their lawn treated, I ferilize three times a year myself and save probably close to $600 and my lawn actually looks better. Its a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only brand I use Like most I used to be sucked in by the advertising, product placement and decorative bags of Scott's. A friend who is a professional turned me onto Lesco, it is now the only brand I use for fertilizer and seed. My lawn is fantastic, zero weeds, and everyone who sees it compliments it and insists upon walking barefoot in the grass. I will never use anything else again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent maintenance fertilizer After much due research on dual purpose weed and feed products, Lesco ranks high with me as a consumer product! Spring in Georgia jumps early but can be tricky for bermuda grass so the weeds can get a head start if you're not careful. 2 weeks in, after aeration and some decent rainfall, my neighbors are admiring and wondering how I did it! Wish I have taken before/after photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I put this down about a week ago and immediately noticed it did a number on those pesky dandelions. I'm noticing more grass and less weeds everyday. This product is recommended to anyone who cares about their lawn. After great results with other Lesco fertilizers I will not use anything else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor weed killer Has not killed any weeds. It appears the clover is worse. Very disappointed in the product. I get a lot of compliments on my lawn, but after trying lesco for the first time, I will not purchase again.
