Answer:
Hi TRBL,
Thank you for your interest in LG Window Air Conditioners. Typically, the LW designation on the model number indicates that it is a Window unit, (LP would be the Portable units).
Please pardon my ignorance on the LQ series units. I am unfamiliar with these, but if you do have a specific model that you would like to inquire about, please contact out Customer Information Center at (800)

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy Purchase We needed a through-the-wall unit after our old one stopped working. We researched so many brands and models, and decided on the LG...very happy we did. The unit cools our condo and keeps it comfortable. It is in the living room, which is open to the dining room, hallway, and then kitchen (about 600 square feet total). It is relatively quiet for such a powerful product. We needed something quiet since the couch is right next to it. The TV needs to be on a higher volume, but it is not too overpowering. We are very happy with the product and would recommend it. Good product and good value. August 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Works well for the price. Sufficiently cools a 500 sq ft room. A bit noisy though, and cycles on and off frequently. Also, be sure you buy the wall sleeve - the unit does not come with it. And when installing the wall sleeve, measure the box dimensions before cutting your wall. The instructions with the wall sleeve give the wrong dimensions that result in an oversized opening. July 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Buy LG Air Conditioners!!!!! This air conditioner is awful. My first one broke in a week, the replacement lasted 11.5 months. The only thing worse was LGs customer service. July 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent A/C Good A/c quieter then the GE I bought which is 115v no freeze ups yet. I like it.. July 8, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cools quickly but very loud Got this air conditioner to replace our old GE (old as in 30 years old) and works very well; room cools very quickly. Problem is that it is also very very loud. It has a vibration that makes it even louder. Overall, it cools very well, but its too loud to be anything but annoying... June 25, 2013
