The unit should not leak. It may be malfunctioning, if purchased less than 90-days ago, it can be returned or exchanged at the Home Depot for another unit or a different air conditioner. There is a drain plug at the back of the unit. If this plug is loose or not inserted properly, the condensate water will leak out. If the unit is being operated for extended periods in humid climates, there may be some minor condensation accumulating where it is not collected internally for evaporation through the exhaust. That condensation could amount to a few drips from time-to-time which any brand or type of air conditioner may experience. The unit should shut down when the collection tank is full. The collection thank holds approximately 1.3 pints of water. If the water drained from the tank measures 1.3 pints, when the unit is leaking, the overflow shutdown may be faulty. The manufacturer advises users when operating the unit to always protect carpeting or floors from possible water spillage in the owner's manual. I keep my non leaking unit on a plastic lid from a larger plastic storage container to catch an occasional drip. Read Less

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Temp out of control Temp control not very accurate. Just bought unit yesterday. Temp on unit set at 25 & indoor temp went down to 22.8 C. Unit just kept on cutting in & out until I shut if off. Not very efficient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I use this in a sunroom that is 13 x 26, with eight single pane patio doors; four of these doors receive full sun for about four hours a day. I live in Georgia, and it's been in the 90's since I purchased it. Last year I would have to close this room off, and go to the living room after 2:00 in the afternoon it was so hot. It's not overly noisy, about the same as a box fan would be. I have it at one end of the room, and the tv and couches at another end; I can hear the tv fine. Installation was easy. I've only had it for a month, but so far am pleased. I am curious to see the difference in my power bill, and will try to remember to come back and update this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second unit we own broken... do not buy! I bought two of these thinking it would be nice to use then roll away for the winter. FIrst unit stopped producing cool air this season which is its 3rd. Our second unit is doing the same thing. Repairs are difficult to find (the suggested company for LG stated they don't work on them and the company doesn't stand behind their product (for one year only). Sadly with two units not functioning we are out $800 bucks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One year out unit leaks After running for a six or eight hours the unit leaks water onto the floor. This is due to some sort of internal leak and water is collecting in the bottom of the unit. I drain the reservoir regularly but water still seems to collect in the bottom where it must be drained by tipping the machine which inevitably get water everywhere. Bath towels are necessary to contain the mess.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! The condensation tank holds 1 liter of fluid and has no shut off feature. It leaks from the bottom when full. A warning is supposed to show but it does not. Also, mine has leaked when vented into a bucket. It cools and removes humidity from the air great, but this design flaw is very annoying. The foreign service personnel are not much help. Keep looking for a better unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LG Electronics 12,000 BTU air conditioner Purchased this in 2016 and I absolutely love it. I live in a beach area so we don't have air conditioning. Sometimes we need it in the summer months. This unit keeps my living room nice and comfortable. I'm very happy with the speed of delivery and the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little AC I sectioned off a part of my garage with drywall and everything as a man cave that I've always dreamt of. It can get quite hot so I looked into my options and decided on this unit. It works great, blows strong and cools very well. I never knew how high tech these new ones are until I bought this LG. It included a remote in which you can control everything from. So far I'm very impressed and would recommend this to anyone that needs it. If I had to do it over again I would buy the same exact one also. Did I mention that I bought a cheaper one before this and ended up returning it right away because it was struggling to keep the small area cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Air Conditioner Very easy to assemble and easy instructions. Feels like a 14,000 but instead of a 12,000!!! Also a great price
