The unit should not leak. It may be malfunctioning, if purchased less than 90-days ago, it can be returned or exchanged at the Home Depot for another unit or a different air conditioner. There is a drain plug at the back of the unit. If this plug is loose or not inserted properly, the condensate water will leak out. If the unit is being operated for extended periods in humid climates, there may be some minor condensation accumulating where it is not collected internally for evaporation through the exhaust. That condensation could amount to a few drips from time-to-time which any brand or type of air conditioner may experience. The unit should shut down when the collection tank is full. The collection thank holds approximately 1.3 pints of water. If the water drained from the tank measures 1.3 pints, when the unit is leaking, the overflow shutdown may be faulty. The manufacturer advises users when operating the unit to always protect carpeting or floors from possible water spillage in the owner's manual. I keep my non leaking unit on a plastic lid from a larger plastic storage container to catch an occasional drip. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. This air conditioner is just what I wanted. I have had it during the warmest days of summer and it was perfect. September 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Online/Pickup Purchase -- Easy. The unit is working well, and is quieter than expected. The little louvers that sway the air flow up and down area a "cool" touch that really does help distribute cooled air through the room. I have heard others say that these units die quickly, though. Hopefully we will get good performance, but we purchased the extended warranty just in case.. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cool one i used it on my room after my AC break down and awaiting repair , it cooled reeally well , i slept great again , i wish its just quieter , and can be set to turn on and off at a certain time , overall im happy with my purchase , portable so its in my living room now , i can move it around! its a keeper , when my AC gets fixed il leave it my bedroom , set it at 65 F , while leaving the whole house 70-73 F , it will save me money in the long run ! Love it ☺️ June 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install and user friendly! Good quality operation and great value for the money invested! June 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good little unit So far, so good. It handled the first season exactly as advertised. Used it in our bedroom and it was capable of cooling the room to comfortably cool temperatures on demand. Exactly what we wanted! October 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy this unit I bought one unit after the other. The first unit didn't work. It didn't blow out cold air into the room or hot air out the window. I had to pay $45 for my local home depot to pick it up and take it back. Home depot.com did give me $100 which covered that, towards another unit. So i bought another unit and it also doesn't work. The lG tech is coming tomorrow to see about it. I doubt he can do something, unless there's some switch inside I don't know about. This has been so frustrating. Home Depot was good and LG does have service for a guy is coming, this should not happen to two new units. I am going to look for another brand unless this guy has the magic answer tomorrow. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT PRODUCT Great Product! Works in my small office just perfectly! September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth it!!! I exchanged the 8,000 BTU LG for this 12,000 BTU LG. WOW what a difference. The 8,000 noise level is crazy, but this upgraded one is super nice. Please people spend the extra money to get this one. Do not settle for the lower ones. Trust me on that!!! Also thank you like always HomeDepot for helping me the customer find a unit that will work for me. September 12, 2016
