Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hank I like it so far!
Have only had this a month. It's replacing a 1100 watt LG microwave built in 2005. I can't speak about it's energy efficiency because I haven't run it long enough to see a bill. The higher wattage hasn't blown the circut it's plugged into nor do the lights dim (20 amp). It's large and blends well with my other kitchen appliances. Most microwave food items base their cooking times on 1100 watt ovens, so this one has plenty. It has rounded corners in the rear which are easier to clean vs a squared corner. I basically use this by punching in a time and then starting it, but it has many more features.

Easy to learn controls. Menu options take a bit to learn but you can always look at the charts in the manual which I do all the time. This is a pleasure to use and is large enough for most ANY kind of dish.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Marshal LG Microwave - Replacement for Identical Model
This purchase was for an identical model replacement to failed unit bought last year. First unit failure occurred within the twelve month warranty period (Control pad would not accept entered time and had trouble starting/stopping after door had been closed). Only bought this same model again because the unit was perfect fit for space.
LG would not cover repair on first unit without original Home Depot receipt despite evidence of purchase via credit card. Further, after calling several local LG authorized repair centers listed on LG website, none within 30 mile radius of my metro area serviced microwaves anyway.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lisag Great form and function
This microwave looks sleek and trim and offers a wider variety of functions than the average microwave for our family on the go. With even heating and extended time/heat options I'm happy with this product as it can easily warm a range of items (or cook them if need be). Great buy for the money!

It's amazing what these things can do! My wife is thrilled with her new machine. We bought online and it was ready for pick-up in our store just a few minutes later.

Slightly larger overall dimensions than our old unit, but much larger inside. Automatic settins work very well.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hombre Nice looking, but unreliable.
This is my 3rd one. The other two broke just outside of warranty. Why do I keep buying them? Because I have the trim kit built into my kitchen and the style matches the rest of my appliances better than any other microwave.
The pro's of this microwave are ease of use and cleaning when it's actually working. Fit and finish are good. You won't find a better value if it's actually working. Especially if you find it on sale like I did on unit #3. Perhaps the 3rd time's a charm. But from my experience, caveat emptor.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 65TBird Not up to LG 'Standards' :-(
We purchased this microwave last week and are quite 'disappointed' with our decision to buy our first LG product. We thought of LG as the 'benchmark' for better than average quality products, but have found that 'not to be true' :-(
This microwave's only positive aspect is the 'door latch' operates very easily and does not require much pressure to open the door. It otherwise operates satisfactorily, as would be expected of any microwave, including those which are much less expensive.
The 'negative' findings are as follows:
1--even though this unit is marketed/sold as a 'stainless steel' finished.device, only the 'door' has that 'finish'; most of the exterior is 'black'.
2--it is 'very difficult' to see the controls/settings on the front of this unit, as has been mentioned in many reviews. LG could have designed the control panel to be either 'illuminated' or otherwise made to be easier to read.
3--the inside of the unit is so 'dark', it makes it not only difficult to see the food as it is cooking, but also makes it difficult to determine when the interior is getting 'dirty'.
4--the turntable 'drive shaft' is 'very small' and seems a bit 'flimsy'; the 'heavy' glass turntable is not directly driven, but rather just sits on top of the 'plastic' roller unit to which the 'flimsy' drive shaft attaches.
5--lastly, this 'heavy microwave' only has 'tiny/very-small' feet which cause the entire unit to be 'unstable' and not sit well on counter.
We can only hope our new microwave will at least operate 'trouble-free' for many years, regardless of all its 'shortcomings'.
