Our 11 year old microwave was making a strange noise on start up and the light bulb had burnt out so it was time for a new one. After shopping online for a month I found this regular $199.00 LG on sale for $148 and with a 10% military discount it was a bargain. It was the same manufacturer as my new refrigerator and the front is stainless steel also. At 1200 watts and 2 cu. ft., it has all the capacity and power I need. It has the easy clean interior that is rounded without square corners in the back. True Cook Plus Technology lets you input a code that cooks the item better than just random or average temperatures and timings. The door has a push button to open. The tile countertop in my kitchen isn't perfectly level and the microwave would wobble, so I had to install felt pads under it's non-adjustable feet. I found the black input touchpad hard to read due to glare. Since each different item has it's own True Cook Plus code that it is located online, I found it to be an inconvenience. Instead, I just leave the oven set to high and input the length of cook time recommended on the food's packaging.

I really like that rear portion of the inside is rounded, that makes it easier to clean than any microwave I have owned!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by shopperfromMI48160 The curved design in back is great so far!
The microwave's front is similar to our old GE "profile" microwave.
It's taking a while to get used to the dark interior, since the insides of
our previous microwaves were white.
The "buttons" used to choose the cooking selections seem smaller than
our GE, and don't seem as conveniently placed, but it could be because I'm
not used to it yet.
The curved interior back is much easier to reach and clean than the conventional
microwaves, although with the dark interior it's harder to see if there is a splatter or
so in it. Our GE developed a break in the back seam over time, and we didn't have it long.
At first I thought it only needed cleaning there, but after a while rust developed under the
lining, so we decided for safety's sake to get rid of it and buy a new one. With the curved
interior I have hopes that the LG will not develop a cracked seam, and it seems to look
like a seamless or almost seamless construction. So far, so good!
