Needed a samller footprint for a smaller space. Stays cool. Quiet and well lit inside. Love the manual ice maker. Looks awesome in our new house and a great buy!

I received this refrigerator this week and so far it's great. I replaced a GE Profile French Door that died after 5 years. This has plenty of space in the fridge and freezer and looks very nice and modern. I do like not having the handles on the doors and the ice in the freezer. I don't like the plastic it is cheap and I really hope that it lasts. It is quiet, the ice maker works great, I had read some didn't think the lighting was all that good, but I disagree, it is quite bright. Simple, good price on sale. I did buy a 5 year warranty, it is well worth not having to worry about losing hundreds of dollars of food if it breaks down. In all I would recommend this product.

As I have just gotten this refrigerator/freezer I don't feel qualified to rate it. I will say the delivery process through Home Depot was a nightmare.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Suzie horrible lighting.
The unit as two side lights at the front of the frig part. Very bright in that area but the back of the frig is dark. I am so disappointed. In the store the lighting looked great but on its own very poor. I called LG an they cannot help and HD does not take returns. So if lighting is important to you....skip this frig.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jbmoez Rust on LG Stainless Steel Fridge
Bought this Freezer Top LG stainless steel from Home Depot in the last day of April and got delivered a week later. The freezer door got dented in the moving process. The moving crew were great about it. They took responsibility and ordered me a new freezer door from LG to be installed by a local service company two weeks from the delivery date. Other than the dent, the fridge was functioning OK. The motor noise varies from quite to very loud randomly. Ten days after delivery my wife noticed some rust stains on the side of the freezer door. It was hard to believe. After further inspection we found more rust on the front of both doors. I called LG. the CS guys could not believe me and suggested it could be blood form a steak or something. He told me have the service guy call LG to confirm it is really rust on a stainless steel fridge. The service guy showed up as planned with a new freezer door to replace the dented one. I told him we have a much bigger problem with this unit than the dent. He inspected the doors and said YES. That is really rust. He applied a magnet to the door. It did not stick. That is a stainless steel with rust on it. He told me it must be low quality stainless like some knives and spoons made in china that eventually will have spots of rust on them. He called LG. The CS guys said that is a first. He said if it was him he would ask for another unit all together. I said that is exactly what I want. He gave me a case number. I called Home Depot as well. I explained the problem and I gave the phone to the service guy so he can confirm what I said and what we saw. After back and forth, the appliance lady said they will replace the unit but be prepared for a long, lengthy process that might take around a month. She said she will call me in two days to update me but no calls so far. When I bought LG I never thought that I will be having problems form the first week of ownership. In addition to rust, the stainless steel is super sensitive to the touch. It does not have handles so the doors look smudged and dirty all the time. You have to clean them every time you open the doors. If the fridge is full, the lighting feels inadequate because the bulbs are only in the front and nothing in the back. It is very frustrating to pay this kind of money and have to go thru all this hassle and headache. My next unit will be either a different color or a different brand other than LG. If you can help it, stay away from this model.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by KJ Don't buy!!!
I bought this fridge in 2015. It has been a terrible product from the start. The freezer door always pops open no matter how hard or gentle you close the fridge. I called LG and they won't replace it. I've literally thrown out $100s of thawed food that was ruined after I came home from work to find the door was open all day. I tried tilting it back to an absurd level to see if it would help but it didnt. I also paid a repair man to come see what he could do but he said aside from duct tape it won't fix it. Such a waste of my hard earned money.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DK Bad drawers, poor customer support
Lighting is great does the job OK but the drawers, all three are grinding themselves down to nothing and plastic powder is falling down inside the bottom of the unit. I called customer service as this was out of warranty by just a few weeks when we noticed it and had been obviously been doing this for a long long time. lg just blew me off and gave me an address where I could buy replacement parts. That was dissapointing. Most places will give anyone a little grace if the evidence is right there in front of them with a photograph. But Not LG, poor design there and nothing I can do about it.
