Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed We purchased this from Home Depot. It was on back order. We were excited to receive it. We have have it over a month and we are sorry we purchased this. First we love the door in door feature. That where it ends. The doors are uneven, we tried to adjust them, still uneven. The fridge makes a horrible humming sound. It gets annoying after a while. If you don't need a cold cut drawer, you are in luck, this doesn't have one. There is an alarm if you leave the big door open, but if you don't latch the door in door securely, it doesn't alarm. Huge amounts of condensation builds up inside the door. This may not be ideal if you have children. It looks latched, but its really not. You have to slam it hard to make sure it catches. It's tough to store wine bottles or even large containers of milk, unless you don't mind laying everything down on a shelf. That fancy smart phone diagnostics? Good luck there, it doesn't work. All in all, if i had to do it all over again, I would buy a traditional fridge and not this one. We spent a lot on this fridge and it was NOT worth it. Spend your money elsewhere for another brand.

Drink door sometimes does not close all the way and there is no door alarm to let you know door is open like the main doors. Not many ways to arrange the shelves. we have several tall items like 2 liter of soda, you can only fit so many of these tall items in the door making you have to utilize a shelf. There are large spaces between the slots that hold shelves and slots are in twos, the shelf we moved up to allow tall items only has 2 inches of space between it and the next shelf up basically losing a shelf because 2 inches is pretty much unusable.

The 26.1 cu. ft. Side by Side Refrigerator in Stainless Steel with Door-In-Door Design is a big refrigerator. I had to remove a cabinet, but all's good.

This was my second LG fridge I purchase with the previous model lasting 10 years for the most part trouble free. I only encountered troubled after the first year warranty expired but thankfully I purchased a 3rd party extended 5 year warranty. The major expensive repair was the replacement of the electronic brain of the fridge (computer module).
Fast forward today, I purchase my second new fridge on 7/2015 from HD. I initially had no worries and actually had high expectations.. However, on 10/2016, ice maker does not produce ice but water dispenser works. First year warranty expired and I did not purchase an extended warranty due to high cost. I will attempt to replace the parts that are usual suspects to my issue. Thank goodness for youtube, I will attempt to repair by first replacing the water inlet value and if needed the ice maker machine. I'm am not alone, check up BBB and Consumer Affairs which contains negative material for days. Definitely would not recommend , what a waste....

Purchased the refrigerator on 4th of July weekend and had to wait an estimate of 2 wks to get delivered. They delivered it with a dent on the door, and the delivery guy added significant size scratches to it, so I had to wait a month more to get a replacement, though at first I was told 72 hours. The new one makes a terrible loud noise, from the motor, I presume, and the door within door rattles. Not all the time, but when it does, it goes on for hours and is very loud and annoying. Called Home Depot to get it serviced, and was scheduled for the following week, but no one showed up. There is a 4 hour time frame they want you to wait on delivery day, and as I had a bad feeling about it, I called to confirm they were still showing up, and was assured they were. Five hours later, no one did. Called back and was back and forth on hold until transferred to someone who says they need to reschedule and have yet to call me back to figure out what day this could be done. Aside from these issues, the outer door within door does not close smoothly like the main doors and can easily be left open by accident and there is no alarm to warn you of this. The alarm only warns you of the heavier doors if left open. The space between shelves is very minimal and large items such as soda bottles and milk jugs won’t fit, so if you have the door within door section full and need extra space for another tall bottle, you’re out of luck. The shelves are not very adjustable and can only be moved less than 2" up or down and even when you move it, the space is still very minimal. It has no cold meats/deli drawer. To some this is no problem, but to me it’s something that I miss having. I do love the door within door feature and the space it gives me for all the small bottles. Love the water/ice dispenser. The water dispenses in a way that you can use any size container, as it squirts outside the little ice compartment, so you’re not limited to container size. I’ve only had it for a month, and reading some of these reviews, I’m hoping I don’t have any more added issues. Overall, I wish I had gone with something else, and perhaps Lowe’s would have offered a better customer service/delivery experience.

The Home Depot saved out bacon with this purchase. We tried to order from a local appliance store but they just couldn't deliver. THD came through and had this in our new kitchen in only 3 days. The modern look is fantastic- we are still getting used to the door-in-door feature. The only shocking thing we didn't notice in the store was the lack of a cold cut drawer. Great product and even better service.

The small third door doesn't close properly, and needs to be slammed to get it to catch. Have been waiting 6 weeks and still no replacement part. After 4 1/2 months the ice maker quit working. Have had a repairman out 5 times in last six weeks, and it still doesn't work. LG has very poor customer support and their products do not live up to their reputation.
