We love it. It is very large. Keep that in mind. It's a little big for our kitchen, but worth it for the refrigerator space we've gained. It is quiet. The interior is lit very well. Freezer is large and freezes well. There appear to be no cold or warm spots.

We have had our LG french Door fridge for about Four and one-half years and fortunately there is still some of the extended warranty left.
From a functional standpoint, we love it. The large french doors provide access to everything inside at just the right height. The doors have plenty of storage and the 3 small + 1 large crisper tray arrangement is perfect for gardeners like us. One of the features that won us over was the large ice and water dispenser that accommodates pitchers and small ice buckets. The large freezer drawer is a good, convenient supplement to our chest freezer downstairs. The water filter is very easy to replace.
From a quality and reliability standpoint, not so good:
1) The tabs that secure two of our door trays have started to fail and the trays are expensive.
2) This winter, at about four years, the compressor died. A couple of things made it worse. One, we had to argue with the warranty company for several days to get a well-respected repair shop that is 40 miles from here to come fix it (we are rural SE Kansas). They were looking at sending in a repairman from Missouri that fit their profile. Then when the local guy was approved we had to wait for parts. We ended up living out of ice chests for a week. Second, with some comparing with friends we found out ours was one of three LG French Door refrigerators, of similar age, that had compressor failures recently. The repairman said LG refrigerators accounted for a fair amount of their repair work.
3) About five months later a plastic spring-keeper that closes the double - door mullion (flap) broke. This time the warranty company was very easy to deal with; BUT the door flap on our four year old refrigerator was NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM LG as a spare part. Our repair man was able to get an aftermarket part and fixed it pretty easily.
3) Ice maker/dispenser freeze ups are not real common, but they do happen 2-3 times a year and can be difficult to clear. Sometimes a couple of hand-whacks will break it loose but about 1/2 of the time clearing it involves 30 minutes of hair dryer time while one of us drags chunks out of the chute. As a result, the bottom of the ice tray is starting to crack. This will be our next warranty claim and in a few months it is out of warrant.
I guess we based our purchase on a 12 year-old LG plasma TV that has been a jewel. Between the fridge and our experience with similar aged LG front loading washer/dryer, we will not be purchasing LG appliance in the future or recommending them.

We've had this now for about 5 months and it's been working great and holding the proper temps for both fridge and freezer. The ice maker is surprisingly fast and we actually turn this off to use up ice in the tray for over a week at a time. The fridge looks great and holds a lot of stuff.
Concerns - it is necessary to open both doors in order to access the fruit drawer which is about 1/2 of the width so this wastes a little energy. Also, every time you open a door one can hear a motor turn off and then it turns back on a few seconds after closing all the doors. I'm wondering if this will cause premature burn out of this motor over time.

I have a 36" inch opening, so I ordered this refrigerator because the specs say that the refrigerator is 35.75" wide. The refrigerator bulges on the sides, so it did not fit in my opening

It's been three weeks now and I'm really happy with my purchase. For starters this fridge is a Consumer Reports best-buy so I bought it with confidence. Compared to my old fridge this fridge is a Lexus. It looks good, has plenty of nice compartments, and some nice touches like a temperature gauge.
I especially like the fact that the freezer is the bottom section. So you bend down only when using the freezer. My old fridge had the freezer at the top. Freezer was convenient then but you use the freezer far les than the fridge itself.
Remember to wait two days before using the ice from the ice maker. The starting ice is discolored from something.

This refrigerator is large but no compartments for meat, cheese or butter. My machine is reporting error and manual does not address these errors. It also doesn't cool. I have loss all my food. LG customer service can not help for several days and can give no diagnosis or help over phone. They do not send email or text like they state. Customer service also does not speak or understand English clearly.
This refrigerator had good review and was purchased for our remodel. I am very disappointed We have had it one month and have only used it for a week and it is large waste of money!

I really like the space inside the freezer and refrigerator compartments, the LED lighting, and the exterior is nice looking. However, less than 3 months after purchasing this refrigerator, the freezer quit freezing. All of our food was defrosting and the ice maker wasn't working correctly. We called LG and they did the diagnostics and found the problem, but there were no LG technicians close to us so we have to replace the whole thing. We did get a refund for the purchase price, but we now have to dispose of the defective unit ourselves and begin the process of purchasing a new refrigerator AGAIN. What a hassle. Though we did get a refund, I will not be purchasing another LG appliance.

Bought this as it was supposed to be a quiet refrigerator. Within 6 months we started noticing some noises, but not too bad. Within a year, the noise turned to a high pitch screeching 5 to 6 times a day. Even friends visiting (sitting in the living room) would ask me what that noise was when it starts. Had extended warranty. Home Depot sent someone out from LG who listened to this and told me this was the water going into the ice making machine and it was "normal." No amount of discussion convinced this guy it was a problem. He said people just 'don't understand" that they make noise. I told him I have never had an icemaker do this. Again, he insisted it was normal and left. And I am left with a noisy, awful refrigerator.
