Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tiff I would recommend this washer
I needed a new washer when my old one broke. This washer is quiet and gets clothes clean. I think the quality is good. It's bigger then my old washer. I can fit a large load of laundry in. The design is interesting because the buttons are in the front portion of washer. I like this feature. It's easy to clean the surface of washer.
The cycles are a bit long and its a little hard for me to reach the bottom of the basin to retrieve clothes. I'm 5'6". But overall I'm glad I purchased this washer and would buy it again if I could do it all over.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by UnhappyCustomer EXTREMELY disappointed!
When our Kenmore front loader finally started giving out after around 13 years, we started shopping for a replacement. Our laundry room is old and space is very limited, which ruled out many washers simply based on the available space. We finally came across this one and reluctantly decided to go back to a top loader (with the consolation that at least was a High Efficiency model). I'm sad to say that we have been EXTREMELY disappointed!
We live in California where we are dealing with severe drought. Water efficiency is a major concern for us. Based on the information we had read about this machine, it sounded like ti would be very efficient. Unfortunately, that "efficiency" has come at a cost. As others have pointed out, sometimes the clothes on the top hardly get wet, much less moved around very much. From the beginning we consistently found residue on the clothing when we removed the laundry to hang out on the line: The residue varies, sometimes pale, almost waxy looking streaks and clumps, sometimes darker. I switched from the He powdered laundry detergent I had used for years with our Kenmore without any issues and found a He liquid to use. No change, we're still getting residue. I've taken to having to hand-rinse numerous articles of clothing after each watch and wring them out before I hang them out on the line. You should see the water in the bucket after I'm done: cloudy and murky beyond belief. My husband is experiencing skin irritation and itching where elastic in his underwear touches his skin—he thinks it's because of the laundry residue left behind. Needless to say, the actual cleaning of the clothing is sub-par. If you can even refer to it as "cleaning." When there's that much residue left behind, you know that there's dirt left behind as well. This is a huge disappointment since we like the features on the washer and the fact that it fits in the space we have available. But frankly, I wish we'd simply spent the money to have our Kenmore repaired. Our 13-year-old front loader did a much better job on laundry than this modern LG washer—and it used a lot less water too.

I scrimped and saved to buy this washing machine. I have owned it now for about 1.5 years. I am soooo disappointed. I am an older single woman. I wash small loads and am careful to sort my loads. The machine does not get my clothes clean! I am noticing that my bath towels and wash cloths are getting dingy. Although I always use the water plus feature, there is not enough water in the machine and/or enough agitation to clean the clothes. When I check the load while it is cycling through the wash cycles, I often see items on top that are not getting wet nor being agitated. Has LG come up with a retrofit fix for this machine? I love my dryer and other LG products I have owned but just avoided LG when purchasing a new above the range microwave.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SAHMinPA Great HE Top Loader - Quiet!!
Love my new LG washer! We replaced an eight year old Kenmore HE2t which was starting to throw error codes, and not draining correctly. When the front seal ripped, I was done!!
Our old washer was crazy loud - this LG is so quiet I don't even notice it's running. Plus my boys love the the little melody it plays when it finishes.
It has delay wash - very useful when your trying to time your day around school and work.
I've had no problem with the load sizes or clothing not wringing out during the spin cycle. These were problems other people had noted in reviews. My clothes are almost dry when they come out of the washer.
Overall a great machine!

The Lg washing machine is one of the best I've ever experienced and it's so easy to work without even having to turn to the manual. Being able to watch the clothes wash through the machine is pretty cool as well. It gets my clothing washed in a timely manner which works out for me every time ! So glad I purchased this particular item !!!!

After owning the washer for a few months, I would have to say it is a good machine. My only complaint is the make you buy metal washer hoses with it. If you have plastic plumbing like I do, the cables don't fit. Luckily the installation guys had ones that did.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ellyisland awful machine!
This machine is absolutely horrible. When it fills with water, even when using the Water Plus feature, the water doesn't actually immerse all the clothes in the water. It doesn't even get some of the clothes wet! After washing a load, some clothes are completely dry. We attached a garden hose to the washtub in the laundry room and have to fill the machine manually with water before running the load. I'm not making this up. This is not what we had in mind when we bought the "new" washing machine technology. LG should not sell such a horrible piece of equipment. This is our first LG product. This might be our last LG product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by srb903 This washer is operates quietly, is easy to use and loaded with features.
After 23 years I had to replace my old washer but was very limited on space in my laundry room with only 26" of clearance. This was the only model I found that would fit and still handle regular size loads of laundry. Everything else was between 1.5 and 2.4 cu.ft. capacity. Having never purchased an LG appliance I was unsure of the quality but after a few weeks of use I am pleased with my purchase. The washer is easy to use, operates quietly and smoothly. The variety of features is flexibile enough to meet my needs. The only issue some may have with this unit is the depth of the tub which may present a problem for some people in reaching small items in the bottom. The high speed spin cycle removes much more water from clothes and which reduces drying time.
