Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sweet_T61 So far, so very good.
I bought this washer about 6months ago and so far it has been perfect. It has the capacity to handle large items like blankets and quilts and that is why I purchased it. I love the front control design too. I don't have to stretch to reach the back controls. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rondajoh Wash Machine does not clean clothes.
I have had the washer for 2 years. Unless I set it on bulky/ heavy soiled my clothes come out still dirty or has soap on clothes. I miss an agitator. How can this washer be more efficient when you have to wash everything longer? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

As others have pointed out, his machine leaves lint and residue on clothing. It's a horrible machine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by UnhappyCustomer EXTREMELY disappointed!
When our Kenmore front loader finally started giving out after around 13 years, we started shopping for a replacement. Our laundry room is old and space is very limited, which ruled out many washers simply based on the available space. We finally came across this one and reluctantly decided to go back to a top loader (with the consolation that at least was a High Efficiency model). I'm sad to say that we have been EXTREMELY disappointed!
We live in California where we are dealing with severe drought. Water efficiency is a major concern for us. Based on the information we had read about this machine, it sounded like ti would be very efficient. Unfortunately, that "efficiency" has come at a cost. As others have pointed out, sometimes the clothes on the top hardly get wet, much less moved around very much. From the beginning we consistently found residue on the clothing when we removed the laundry to hang out on the line: The residue varies, sometimes pale, almost waxy looking streaks and clumps, sometimes darker. I switched from the He powdered laundry detergent I had used for years with our Kenmore without any issues and found a He liquid to use. No change, we're still getting residue. I've taken to having to hand-rinse numerous articles of clothing after each watch and wring them out before I hang them out on the line. You should see the water in the bucket after I'm done: cloudy and murky beyond belief. My husband is experiencing skin irritation and itching where elastic in his underwear touches his skin—he thinks it's because of the laundry residue left behind. Needless to say, the actual cleaning of the clothing is sub-par. If you can even refer to it as "cleaning." When there's that much residue left behind, you know that there's dirt left behind as well. This is a huge disappointment since we like the features on the washer and the fact that it fits in the space we have available. But frankly, I wish we'd simply spent the money to have our Kenmore repaired. Our 13-year-old front loader did a much better job on laundry than this modern LG washer—and it used a lot less water too.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FT TOTAL GARBAGE
This washing machine is a piece of GARBAGE !!!!. The R and D division of LG should all be fired. I don't think any of them do their own laundry. This machine does not use enough water in the regular wash cycle to even cover the clothes that are in the tub. There is absolutely no agitation at all. The clothes come out of the wash with the dirt still visible on them. The only way to make sure the wash has enough water to somewhat wash your clothes is to use the bulky setting which I'm pretty sure is wasting a lot more water than a regular wash cycle in a good machine. Do not waste your money on this machine. We are a family of five and I wish I had my old washing machine that was not energy efficient back in the basement.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by notaconsumer smaller size very adequate
I really have not assessed the energy efficiency myself and the quality depends on how long I it works but I have high hopes for it. I debated between this smaller foot print version of the consumer reports great ratings for the larger model and decided on the smaller size washer. The tub is very adequate size for family use. Mostly I'm happy that I could find a well rated washer that fits in a snug corner.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tiff I would recommend this washer
I needed a new washer when my old one broke. This washer is quiet and gets clothes clean. I think the quality is good. It's bigger then my old washer. I can fit a large load of laundry in. The design is interesting because the buttons are in the front portion of washer. I like this feature. It's easy to clean the surface of washer.
The cycles are a bit long and its a little hard for me to reach the bottom of the basin to retrieve clothes. I'm 5'6". But overall I'm glad I purchased this washer and would buy it again if I could do it all over.
