Yes, this oven does have a timer that can be set for 30 minutes (or longer). The alarm that sounds when time is up is actually a musical jingle.

Yes. The timer can be set anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours. Instead of a beep or a buzz there is a pleasant little jingle that plays when the time is up.

Answer:
Actual single voltage in homes can range anywhere from 110 to 125 volts. Doubling that for major appliances means the range can be anywhere between 220 to 250 volts. Appliances are designed and built to be able to handle the range in voltage available in any given home.

Does the stove top cool quickly and work well at low heat? Are the buttons hard to push?

I simmer grains a lot on my coil top range near its lowest setting. I've heard smoothtops take longer to cool and that they do not simmer as well as coils, often boiling at the lowest setting. Has anyone found this to be a problem?

Also, I noticed on the display model that the buttons have no tactile response. Are they at least easier to press or more responsive than the similar-looking machines at gas pumps?

Hello William, thank you for your interest in the 30 in. 6.3 cu. ft. Electric Range with the Self-Cleaning feature.
Typically, most stove tops on the electric ranges will cool quicker than their gas range counterparts, but how quickly it cools will depend on several factors such as how much heat was applied during use and room temperature or if a breeze coming through an open window was blowing over the oven top surface.
The buttons are not hard to push and respond immediately to touch. You will not feel them activate like those of the gas pumps which are constructed differently and respond differently to touch.
One difference between Gas ranges and Electric ranges is in how well they work at low temperatures. Gas ranges will provide a more controllable heat at lower temperatures because you can control how much gas is released to burn thus control the heat more effectively. That is not to say that Electric ranges do not work well, it just takes a little getting used to using them when you're used to using gas ranges and electric ranges generally have a faster cook time. No its not exactly 30". It's actually right around the 29 and 7/8" so it should fit.
My space available was 30" and I have about 1/8" on both sides that don't

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 87 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible customer service when there is a problem! Bought this oven and 4 other LG major appliances at the same time. About the 7th time I cooked on the stove top one of the burners began to bubble in the glass really bad. I took a picture to Home Depot and they would not do anything but call LG even tho they stated it looked like a defect. LG then sent a tech out that said he had not ever seen any stove do this and also did not believe it was cosmetic but something wrong in the glass top. Well about 5 days later the same tech called saying that LG is considering it cosmetic because if the burner still comes on and heats up then they will not do anything for me. When I stated you agreed it was not cosmetic his reply was "they wont listen to me and will only consider it to be cosmetic since it still comes on". I have had smooth top stoves for many years and never a single issue. I have since tried everything possible online with numerous buffing and cleaning attempts and lots of different cleaners and it does not budge. This is obviously a mfg defect! There is clearly something wrong in the glass top but neither Home Depot in Florence, SC or LG will do anything even tho it was so new. All of the other LG appliances are working out great thus far but their service at both Home Depot and LG will deter me from ever buying appliances from them again. Very frustrated to spend almost 5,000 in appliances and now have a horrible looking stove top!! I keep everything immaculate and can't fix this and received no assistance at all due to their poor customer service on both sides of LG and HD!! April 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Didnt know I could love an appliance! My husband and I bought this stove after we moved into our first house. To spare details, the stove left with the house was beyond disgusting. We settled on this one because we loved the design and look. The interior is fun too since it is a vibrant purple-blue color! The stove is so easy to use! I love that you can tap/push what you need versus turning dials for the burners. And personally, I love that instead of an annoying beeping, the stove has an almost musical tone when the timer goes off or when the oven is preheated. So far, no issues. Cooks very well and the burners work great! Again, no issues. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and definately recommend to others! September 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great So Far I've only had this range for a few weeks, so far it's doing great! January 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great features for the price. So easy to clean and maintain. Goes very well with all of the other appliances in the kitchen, including the non LG ones. December 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love It Had this oven/stove for 2 weeks now and have used it for nearly every possible cooking method. First LG product that I have ever purchased and it certainly wont be the last. Love how the entire unit is digital and when desired heat is reached the unit actually plays a jingle. If you are looking for a great value and great look go for this unit. Cooks evenly on the stove top and thoroughly in the oven! Buy Buy Buy! January 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice, High Quality Appliance We've had our LG range/oven for almost three months now. Its very efficient and easy to use. The burners get hot very quickly and cook evenly. I like that the oven plays a cute little song and flashes the oven light when the preheating cycle is complete. I also really like the beautiful blue color on the inside of the oven. The only thing I wish this model had is a child lock that prevents the oven from opening. November 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product has great features Glass top, super quick, no knobs, music to tell you when oven is done preheating. June 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Oven After cleaning oven....residue appears in oven door window. If baking meat in oven - you will need to clean constantly - I roast chicken breasts and I do not know why such an issue with smoking & having to clean - my other from which I upgraded did not have these issues Not good.....I have never had this tye of problem before witgh any of my previous ovens.....very disappointed September 28, 2015
