I bought this cooktop but prior to installing I found out my neighbor bought the exact same model a year ago and hates it. She urged me to return it and I did. She showed me how 2 of the cheap plastic knobs broke, the other 3 knobs with the fake stainless plastic coating are pealing and bubbling. It's stained and scratched. She said it's impossible to clean and scratches with the slightest rubbing despite using special stainless steel cleaners. To top it off the cast iron grates are all worn and turning silver and the lettering started to wear off too. She said it's only seen light use (older couple and have no kids at home) and even though it's still under warranty LG had done NOTHING to help them after repeated calls to their support center. Look for a different brand cooktop!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Louis Love our new stove.
We really love this stove. Now when we spill, it stays in the stove. It's really easy to clean with only 3 grills. We spill less too because the grills are all connected across the top. In addition to the super boil burner, the main feature I like is that it doesn't use up burner space with the knobs. They're easy to get to and out of the way. The install was harder than I anticipated though. I had to use a jig saw to cut out an inch on both sides of the opening and then trim the drawer underneath by 4 inches. Fantastic stove though.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by keng Glad to be back to gas
After buying an all electric kitchen house, I'm glad to be cooking on gas again. This 30" five burner is a great addition from the four burner we were used to. Although our biggest pots and pans won't all fit there together, we rarely cook that much at once and our counter space was limited to the 30", it was sure nice to find more than expected when shopping for a new cooktop.
Changing the 220v outlet to 110v was an easy snap and it mounted right in the existing space with no modification.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Evus I absolutely love it. Very elegant look, great quality.
Great futures, knobs at front are very convenience for me,
Two identical size burners on the left side are great for using griddle

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dino Value and good looks
The LG 30 inch cooktop dropped in easily where our electric cooktop occupied the space before. The securing clips ensured it would not wiggle around, and the flange nicely covered any gaps. The look is clean, contemporary, and upscale, and matches our LG microwave above. It's great to get back to the visual control of a gas flame, and although we will probably never use all 5 burners at once, it is nice to know that they have different functions based on the BTUs and flame size each one puts out. We don't need lots of bells and whistles, just a great natural gas powered cooktop.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by David Within two years every knob was broken.
Great cooktop except for the problem noted above. Very good five burner layout that fits into a 30-inch cutout. But sockets/stems on knobs started cracking about a year after installation. Looking for replacements.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by shaw858 Knobs and lettering -- cheap, cheap, cheap!!
36" propane cooktop. We can a lot of food so the cooktop has seen very heavy use. The "superboil" feature is apparently negated when used with propane as food will boil faster on the smaller BTU burners. However, boilovers are very common as well even on the smallest burner. My biggest gripe is that the cheap plastic knobs all broke at the stem within one year and the lettering around the knobs is coming off. On the plus side, it is fairly easy to clean. I would not recommend this cooktop if you use propane and/or will be using it heavily.
