Rated 5 out of 5Â by WaterhammerLG Steam and Turbowash, it's loaded with features.
Excellent performer so far. Very quiet operation and pleasing to look at. The pedestals add to it. I wouldn't recommend the pedestals if the machines are for upstairs, it still vibrates during hi speed spin. Washes a little longer than the old school washers, but is energy stingy. These fully featured LG's are the only units that can fit in our tiny laundry. Only negative so far is the wash and rinse cycle, it causes serious water hammer and noise to our pipes within our walls. Could potentially be a plumbing nightmare. However, there is a water arrestor kit to install at the back of the washer unit. One for the cold and one for the hot inlet and Home Depot happens to stock these items, thank you. Once installed the water hammer noise is gone, completely vanished.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kimpur Who'da ever thought that washing clothes could be so enjoyable!
Had this matching pair for about 2 weeks now. Got them in the graphite - gleaming, sleek, and beautiful as a new car. Well, almost. Have washed everything in the house, right down to the rugs and memory foam mats in the kitchen. Just a fabulous job. Love everthing about these, so far, and soooo glad I got the pedestals to finish it all out. Even put motion sensor lights in the drawers in my dark hallway. (thanks Waterhammer, great idea!!) I don't know if I'll STAY this excited about LAUNDRY (see, I don't "wash clothes" anymore), but I'll let you know. A slight wobble at high-speed spin, but I may have to ask them back out to tweak the leveling. Home Depot was great, from the sale to the delivery.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by DonewLG Horrible machine! Buyer Beware
Spent extra money on this LG frontload washer. After only 3 years of use, and definitely not heavy use since it is only my wife and I, the washer started leaking. After checking online since the washer was out of warranty noticed a lot of complaints about leaking LG front loaders and parts that need replacing. After pulling off the top and watching the washer noticed that my problem is leaking from the back of the drum, and I know this isn't a simple fix, not a hose or a part that is easily replaced. Ready to dump this washer and buy something else with better quality. And don't be folled by the 10 year warranty sticker LG slaps on the front... its a joke and doesn't cover parts that actually break on this thing.

I had to replace my 7 year old LG Front Load washer and dryer recently because of a move and my dryer was gas/propane and I only have electric hook-ups here at my new house. BIG MISTAKE! I have had my washer serviced twice in less than 2 months and they cannot fix the "drip" in the door! The serviceman said it's just a poor design on this model. LG said to give it a month, which I did, to see if the problem resolved itself as it can't be repaired. Water drips on my hands and clothes when I take the wet clothing out and also drips down the front of the washer. My old washer had NO problems and I am so disappointed. Today when I went to get my wash, there was a sopping wet sock jammed in the rubber track around the door. What a poor design!! Not a tight fit at all! It also sounds like a freight train going through my house when I have 4 or 5 pairs of jeans in the drum - and the door rattles. The 2nd serviceman said nothing can be done and to be sure I don't overload the machine! The machine with 4 pairs of jeans is only 1/4 full! Anyway, I thought the new product would be really great and that is why I purchased more LG's, but if I could give it back, I would. They look nice but LG has cheaped them out big-time as far as I am concerned. My dryer was sounding like it had a bird chirping in it so the 2nd repair man took it all apart and "lubed" it. He said LG doesn't put enough in before shipping and it is a common problems. I never had one call on my 7-year old previous LG dryer. I am very disappointed with this set and would research it further before you purchase one.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Happy2buyLG Great pair of machines!
We bought both the this washer and matching dryer at our local HD store. We are extremely happy with our purchase. Both machines have been working flawlessly for the past 3 weeks. This is our first experience for a front load washer and we are thrilled with the results. Very little water used yet clothes are cleaner than with our 10 yr old Maytag top loader. I did quite a bit of research and feel that LG seems to be making the best laundry machines at this time. It's important to run a couple of cycles with soap but without clothes to wash out any manufacturing residue. This could cause odors that one complained about. Also, the dryer should be turned on for about an hour to get rid of the "new heater" smell. So far, we really have been delighted with these machines. The musical tune played when they are done is nice but we wish they could be turned up even louder than the loudest selection. Our laundry room is in our basement. We are using a baby monitor to carry with us so we can hear it.
