I love my new washer. I thought that I wouldn't need all the fancy settings, but I am actually using them and it makes a difference wash times and efficiency and the cleanliness in clothing. The washer is very quiet, and the spin gets rid of excess moisture, making for quick drying time and less use of gas and electricity. I also like the sensor that weighs clothing to determine the amount water and time needed during each cycle, decreasing water need and you don't have to guess how much water to use. The washer looks very good too and sings to you when a cycle is done.

This state of the art appliance is extremely user friendly, (not to mention it looks GORGEOUS in our home!) The cycles are quiet and my wife loves the little end-of-cycle tune that it plays. LG has once again delivered on its promise of exceptional quality. Would highly recommend this washer-dryer combo.

Wow, this washer is so quiet and does a great job cleaning the clothes. It spins so fast that the clothes are almost dry when finished and hardly need drying.
Looks intimidating at first but super easy to use.

It's probably the best washer and dryer I've ever owned. It's quiet, and does a great job. My only complaint is the red paint finish. It leave marks whenever you clean it. If you don't mind scuff marks in the finish, then you will like the washer. After owning it for a week we're exchanging it for a white set to avoid the scuff marks in the paint. LG should be able to put a clear coat finish over the paint to avoid this problem.

Although I prefer front loaders, it has been many years since I have had one due to the fact that they went out of popularity and were virtually unavailable. So for years, we used top loaders. In the past couple of weeks, our GE top loader of 15 years finally gave up the ship after many years of dependable service. Truth is, I had been looking for an excuse to replace them with new, more efficient front loaders.
After a lot of research, my findings revealed that LG was probably the brand I wanted to concentrate on, even though I went into this thinking that Samsung was probably going to be my preference. Specifications and customer reviews all seemed to sway me towards LG. Next, I went shopping and loved the features of the LG machines. I wanted steam in the washer and dryer. Price wise, LG and Samsung were very similar for like features so I decided to go for the LG.
I settled on this model and had it,, along with the accompanying dryer, delivered last week. The dryer was unfortunately damaged in shipping, so it was taken back and a new one will be delivered in a couple more days. I will not be able to review it until it arrives and I have had time to use it.
So, lets concentrate on the washer. Yes, I've read all the myrid comments so many have left here and on various other sites about the LG washing machines and how they operate (or not) so I did not know what to think. Yes, the machine is absolutely beautiful, but will is clean clothes, was the question on my mind when the delivery men connected it and ran it through the first test cycle. Shortly after they left, I anxiously put my first load of towels in to wash. I have a lot of common sense and am relatively smart technologically, I watched the operation of the machine through various cycles and various load types. Some looked like the water level was too low, some did not seem to spin enough, some ran a little too long and no two loads operated the same way. This machine is extraordinarily smart and continuously adjusts itself to load conditions, but absolutely defies logic. If the spin is a little off balance, it slows down and rearranges the load and tries again until the load is balanced. I became frustrated, like others I have read about, and wondered if I had made a mistake purchasing this machine. But then reality set in!! All of the clothes coming out of it were cleaner than any I had seen in years. The bleached loads were whiter than any I have ever seen. All loads were so throughlly spinned that they required half the normal times in the dryer.
Evidently, washing technology has come a LONG way, and LG appears to be on the cutting edge of it. Bottom line, my advice is that you not try to figure out so much how the washer is working, but to leave it alone, let it do it's job, and enjoy the benefits of the awesome machine you have intelegently decided to purchase. You will have the cleanest laundry you've ever seen!!
