  • Intuitive Dial-A-Cycle controls and easy-to-read Dual LED Display indicators help you find the right setting every time
  • Preset cycles allow you to customize your soil and spin levels to provide ideal wash settings for the best results
  • Automatic water level adjustment uses just the right amount of water during the cycle to reduce waste and save money
  • LG Pedestals raise the height of the washer door opening for more convenient loading and unloading
  • LG LoDecibel operation is so quiet you may not even notice the washer running. In addition, TrueBalance anti-vibration system minimizes washer noise to help keep your laundry room and surrounding environment peaceful
  • New LG NFC technology allows you to easily change and customize cycles with a simple tap of a smartphone app. Can't find a cycle you need? There's an app for that. Your laundry just got a little bit smarter
  • Washer requires use of only high-efficiency detergent, typically 2 tablespoons per load
  • Stackable design lets you stack the washer with matching dryer and optional stacking kit (not included) for a complete laundry setup
  • Divide and Conquer. This LG washer is TWIN Wash compatible, which means you can add the ingenious LG SideKick pedestal washer to tackle two loads of laundry -- both large and small -- all at the same time. Now you can divide and conquer your laundry and whatever messy moments life throws at you.

I've had 2 sets of LG front load washers and dryers at previous houses that got sold with the house. We are now looking for our 3rd set to replace a top load agitator machine that came with our new home.

If we can speak candidly, the issue of mold and mildew is more about maintenance of the unit more than anything else. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.3 DOE cu. ft. High-Efficiency Front Load Washer in White, Model # WM3570HWA does have features like the Tub Clean Cycle that you can run once a week for three consecutive weeks if you notice mildew and musty smells, and a Magnetic Door Plunger that enables you to safely and conveniently secure the door slightly ajar to promote air circulation which will help the unit to dry. Depending on the frequency of use, the unit also has an automatic alert for cleaning the unit which will blink "t cl" every 1~2 months to indicate that the tub needs cleaning. However, even with these features to help with the prevention of mildew and musty smells, there is still a lot that you can do to prevent it as well. Obviously, there is a lot of moisture and wetness involved with a washing machine which makes for a perfect breeding ground for mildew producing bacteria which then leads to the musty smells. If you live in an area of hard water, mineral scales can form in the internal components of the washing machine. It is recommended that you use water softener if you live is such an area. Using the wrong type of detergent can also lead to a build up of detergent which ultimately can cause bacterial growth. fabric softener can also build up and cause the same bacterial issues, so it would be beneficial to you to clean the machine after each wash. Bacteria also tends to grow inside the door seal and that also should be cleaned periodically and you'll want to clean the detergent and fabric softener dispenser drawers. Mineral scale can also accumulate in your water inlet hoses so you should look to clean those as well. Improper installation of the washer can also exacerbate mildew and musty smells. If the unit is installed or used in an area of high humidity for a long time, it can lead to detergent residue build up in the machine that can produce mildew and musty smells...^IFV Read Less

Check to make sure that the door gasket is not damaged or twisted out of shape. If is not forming a tight seal, water can leak out down the front and pool under the unit. Check that water is not leaking from the safety air vents on the back of the unit. Residue build up of detergent or fabric softener can cause water to leak out from the safety air vent or from the detergent dispenser draw. Usually when there is a lot of water left in the tub after a wash cycle as you have described, it is due to slow drainage. Check that the drain hose is not kinked or pinched. If you are still unable to find where the water is leaking from, if you have also checked that the hot and cold water inlet hoses are not leaking, you may have to call for a repair service...^IFV Read Less

Any detergent labeled for an he machine will work however in my experience powdered detergents won't leave a residue buildup and will help reduce mold problems when used in the proper amounts. Liquid fabric softeners are even worse than liquid detergents at leaving build up.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 399 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very quiet and operates very well We were trying to match our Kenmore dryer which was still in perfect condition. Almost perfect match.....no one know they are from different brands! April 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE this washer! I bought this washer about a month ago, after 10 months of a different top load washer with the new "triple-action impeller" feature that I could not stand because it was leaving white residue on my clothing. Additionally, it took an hour to get through a basic wash cycle! This washer is much faster and leaves no residue on clothing. I would highly recommend this model if you are looking for a front loader. June 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful plus I love my new washer. It looks great, works very well and I love the little ring sound to tell me when wash is done. Also likes the fact that the time is based on the size of the load and it shows on the screen June 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great features I bought this about a month ago and we are exstemely happy. Would have given 5 stars but too early for that. May 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Washer This washer works great. The cycles are delicate on clothes and the drum capacity fits more than you think. It uses very little detergent and runs pretty quietly. This washer however is really heavy, so make sure you have some help before moving it at all. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality product! Only had a few months and Works great. An overall good product. May 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible - do not buy! I thought a front load design would be less damaging to the clothes - the opposite seems to be true. Shirts and pants wear out in much less time than with the old washer. Worse, we get "washer burn": dark or intense-colored items (shirts, towels) come out with streaks as if they'd been bleached. Front load is also awkward to load since clothes keep falling out. I bought this because it got good reviews, but I will avoid LG products in the future. Ours was model WM3470HWA but should be similar to this one. June 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely dissapointed The washing machine started to leak from the front door within 3 days of delivery. Home Depot has been unhelpful and directed me to LG. The people at LG tried to make it as difficult as possible for me. I was asked to watch a video on using the washing machine. 4 days after the leak developed, I still do not have a service appt. I think it's not acceptable to have this problem for a washing machine that is only 3 days old. I expected a reputable company like Home Depot to take better of their clients. June 14, 2016
