Answer:
There is a warning on the inside of the washer against washing waterproof or outdoor garments. I have not tried it yet to know for sure. I have washed a mattress pad, and it was unsuccessful. I had to wash it three times, finally adding bleach and extra water to get it clean.

Answer:
You can wash them in there, although I wouldn't recommend it. This washer does a lousy job of washing. I will never purchase another top loading like this one. Often the powdered additives never dissolve and it doesn't even get lightly soiled clothing clean. Next time I will pay the extra to get a good quality front loading machine.

Hi Mimmy,
The waterproof clothes are not recommended for LG washer or any other washers no matter which brands but any bulky blanket will get washed perfectly as long as it's not waterproof.
i wash waterproof items outside in a bucket with soapy water, scrub them with a brush, and let them dry on a string in the sun no mess inside the house.

Answer:
I asked about this issue when looking to purchase, the reason is that the washer measures load size by weight. Because waterproof does not absorb water it does not "weigh", they suggested to put heavy articles, such as towels, in with waterproof articles to get a more accurate weight to resolve this issue.

Right now we have a washer that is 25 1/2 inches deep.
It is 5 inches from the wall. Putting it about 30 1/2 inches out from wall.
My question is this: can I use the gooseneck hoses for this washer, saving us some space? Or would they?
Are these acceptable with LG?

In my house this machine sits 30" from the wall. I have the recessed panel that allows you to hook up the water supply lines and has a place to hook in your drain hose. This allows me to have the unit 3.5" from the wall to the unit. I would recommend at least 4" for any other applications. I used the hose that come with it and it is long enough to hook into my recessed panel but also long enough to reach my utility sink next to it. The hose is located on the right side of the machine (if you are looking at the back of the machine) If you choose to drain into a utility sink remember to anchor the drain hose down. Read Less

Answer:
I just got the washer and dryer set. I used by old gooseneck hoses for my new washer and its fine. Ironically, the space saving against the wall is an issue with the dryer. The elbow coming out the back is rigid and makes it sit away from the wall further than the washer. Looks a little bit goofy.

This washer is 28" deep. It sticks out from the wall about 34". I don't have it right up against the hoses, because I have the room. I just choose to not have the hoses pinched right up against the wall. I could move it in a good 3" and still be ok, but I chose not to. You can use the gooseneck hoses, because we did, but they didn't save us any space.

It is definitely large enough. I don't have a problem with my king sized fleece blanket getting out of balance but if you need to you could add a towel or two to the load.

Is there any differene between the graphie steel washer versus the white( which is less expensive) or is the price difference just a matter of color.

Even though the only difference is the color, the graphite washer is fabulous looking - well worth the extra cost. It gives "class" to my very boring, but frequently used, laundry room.

As far as I can tell by reading the features, it's just the finish that is different. I almost bought the white one, since it's hidden in my laundry room, but the grahie steel looked so sleek, I just had to have it>

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my unit! Love that clothes don't get damaged by an agitator and the soak cycle is perfect for my husbands work clothes. No more laundry mat either for those extra large winter blankets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product I love this washer, it cleans better than any of the other one I purchased in the past. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Always uneven We have had this washing machine about a year and we do not like it at all! Ant time we try and wash a smaller load we get the error "uneven" and it rinses forever! We have had it serviced which fixed the problem for a few weeks. I have wasted so much water and time trying to get the load even. If I could, I would return this for a front load. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] June 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can't do a load of Laundry without redistributing I have had this washer for about 45 days now (Rent-a-Center). Everything seems to work great along the lines of very quiet, clothes come out clean, and huge inside however the most frustrating thing is I have done over 50 loads of laundry and I think maybe 3 have completed from start to finish. All the other ones I have to constantly redistribuite the clothing (multiple times) over the course of a wash. The UE pops up all the time. I tried small loads, large loads, shirts only, pants only, doesn't matter. Thankfully it's from rent-a-center and I can get a different one but I feel sorry for those of you who purchased it outright. Sooooo frustrating. November 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wrong efficiency ideas The efficiency seems come with using less water. But in reality, it does not wash the clothes clean enough. Whenever, we put extra water to make sure clothes are soak rather than the factory settings, it is ok. By doing that, it does not save our budget. We are very disappointed by our purchase. We are not sure if all the so-called efficient top loaders are like this. But we suggest users to avoid "efficient" top-loaders by ANY manufacturer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] January 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely large capacity!!!!! This is the best Washer I have even purchased!!!!! It is so easy to use, that my 4 yr old helps out with the laundry. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I have had this for 2 years and it is a great product no problems [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] February 13, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad sensor just like the dryer I bought this washer about a year ago. I wanted a larger capacity washer. The sensor technology on this item does not work. The water never fills up enough to sufficiently wash the clothes. I frequently the "bulk bedding option" to get enough water in the washer. I have tried starting and stopping the washer to see if I could fool it to provide more water. Can't seem to make it work! This is particularly frustrating when attempting to wash a small load. Also the washer spinning shakes the entire laundry room. January 11, 2016
