This LG washer is very quiet, I am surprised it is so quiet. Possibly because of a direct drive motor and not transmission or belts to make noise.

I have a 4 year old daughter and a 16 month old son, who get their clothes very dirty and this washer gets them all clean. Mind you I do throw in a Tide Boost with their clothes to help with any bad stains that I might miss with pre treating. With my husband's uniforms from work it gets those clean as well.

My hubby is a dirty boy! He works in a paint lab all day and plays out in the yard hulling things and chopping wood by night. This machine can certainly get the job done to clean his clothes. It works much better than my old, agitator machine. My recommendation is not to overload it when washing super dirty clothes.

Hi Waggin5,
Both my 5'2" gal and myself (6'1" guy) have had zero issues pressing any buttons on this washer when retrieving clothes. When the unit has finished its wash cycle the control panel goes into a 'sleep' mode unless you tell it otherwise. And the way the unit is shaped it's almost impossible to mash a button without really meaning to.

I'm only 5' 4 3/4" tall and the buttons never get pushed when I lean over to get those few items at the very bottom. When the cycle is finished the washer automatically turns off. The buttons are not easy to push on by accident, you have to push them just right.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Washer Got this washer a long while ago, it is still running great. I have nothing bad to say about this product. I'm single, I load the washer, press some buttons, press start and it goes. No fuss, no muss. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] August 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great washer and very affordable the washer is very efficient and quiet. It has many wash type cycles and a quick wash cycle. The glass window on top is very handy in seeing what is in the wash. Washer was very simple to use. Self cleaning cycle is very nice. May 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unbalanced machine I never could get the machine to balance and had to take the clothes out without using the spin cycle, very wet clothes to hang. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2yrs later and going strong Bought this washer in 5/2015 and still working good.... Now looking for the matching dryer. Washes good. Takes big loads. Only thing is I'm 5.3 so i need a step to reach the clothes when done. But overall happy with it! April 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of Electronic Junk After only a year and a half (warranty ran out 6 months ago) we are replacing the main control panel. If the repair was going to give us back an excellent washing machine that got our clothes clean, it would be worth it (almost). But, THIS MACHINE WILL NOT CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES. Water level is never high enough to cover the clothes and the agitation is a JOKE. No matter the size of the load, it sounds as if it were coming through the wall during the spin cycle. The cycles are so long, getting several loads done in a day is next to impossible. In summary, it has not been reliable and it does not clean our clothes. That makes it the worst washer purchase we have ever made, and we have made a few. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] April 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by washer This washer does not seem to get clothes clean, and have had trouble with soap and fabric dispensers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best washer I ever had! I liked the washer so much, I just went and bought the dryer to match! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this Direct Drive Top Load Wash Machine I have owned a few models of wash machines but non compare to this LG WT1201CW with the Direct Drive. It has easy load with all the control push electronic buttons at your front top panel. Easy soap and rinse cup dispenser pull out. The lid has glass which is nice for allowing you to view your cycles. When my clothes come out of the cycles they come out of the spin cycle they are amazing. I cannot say enough about this unit because I have been extremely happy with it. In fact I have been so impressed with the quality of this washer that I have gone out to purchase other products LG has for the home.
