It will fit, the question is whether it will spin because it might not be balanced with just the comforter, but nothing else will fit in with it.

Does it vibrate like crazy in the spin cycle? My current washer is by the kitchen and it feels like it's going to take f

Asked by: HappyCamper51
Yes, you will have that vibration after a few months of using your lg washer machine. Mine was the same. At the begining very well balanced, and after six month the "true balance" was gone. Called LG's service center which is a nightmare, after a few weeks of triying, an LG tech came home to diagnose that the machine was just OK. He "worked" literally 5 minutes, used the smart diagnose which l already did and read unbalanced. My washer is in the garage sits on a solid and leveled concrete floor, washer is totally well leveled, my wife cleans the unit very good but still the shaking was there. Disapointing came later when l called for service again and that "tech" reported customer service as Unit is misused by customer. Call again and again until the first year was gone and the warranty expired. Unfortunatelly l did not buy an extended warranty which l would recomend to do so, specially if you plan to buy this brand. When you read reviews, read those from people who has the machine more than six months of using it. Those reviews will be totally different of those 5 stars from first day customers. Now since my warranty is gone l am on my own with my lg. Replaced 3 shock absorbers by myself $36.oo, which did not help. The real help was to replace the spider part. But if you will pay for that service, forget about because it is a $300.+ service fee plus $85.00 for parts and it will last for another few months, so it's better under this circumnstance to place your unit on the curb.

4 prong or 3 prong power cord?

Asked by: robeye
The washer uses a standard 3-prong power cord that can be plugged into any normal household outlet. You will only need a 4-prong outlet if you get the matching electric dryer.

We had a repair issue and were instructed by email to unstack the washer and dryer to service it. We are older and not able to do this. We called LG to see if it was possible to send a team of 2 to do the repair. They said it was up to us to unstack it and would not use a team of technicians to accommodate this repair. I spoke with the customer service supervisor and he was even ruder than the original person. Our washer and dryer are still under warranty as they were purchased just 10 months ago. Not a very good showing for this machine or for LG. I would not recommend any LG products . This is not our first problem with an LG product and their customer service. I will personally never buy another LG product.

It involves opening the bottom left panel, which I found difficult. It looks like it should be easy, with a tab that you press down. But I have to press it very hard and pull very hard to get the panel open. Then you unclip a hose, and pull it out into a container for catching the water, but the hose is very short. You must pull a plug out of the hose, which is also difficult as you are simultaneously holding the short hose over the container. Once you manage to pull out the plug (which admittedly would be easier if I didn't have arthritis), you must sit by the washing machine on your knees, patiently holding the hose as it slowly drains. The whole thing seems to have been designed with the expectation that the washer would be mounted on a foot high pedestal. If it isn’t mounted on a pedestal, the hose is virtually horizontal to get over the top edge of my 1.5 inch high water pan. Much more water comes out than is shown in the LG instruction video. It takes a while. It never full drains, and when you release the hose to tackle the filter, it spills some water onto the floor. The filter must be unscrewed (leaking more water) and cleaned, which in my case was a simple matter of removing some wet lint. Then you screw it back in, put the plug back in, attach the hose to the clip, and snap the panel shut. The washer is in my basement. The musical tone it makes when it is done washing is too faint to hear upstairs. It needs a loud buzz like my dryer. You have to be careful to wipe the seal each time you wash, to prevent mold. I can't keep it open to air out as pets may climb into it. The door cannot be reversed. On the bright side, I can dial up the setting I want and ignore the additional options, it gets my clothes clean, and it has pretty lights.

It operates quite efficiently. The water levels are match exactly to each load. With that said, if you use the quick wash setting with any powdered or beaded cleaning products the spin cycle of the quick wash will not rinse it all out. As a fix for that minor irritation, I decided to use the "downloaded" cycle which is a sort of quick wash option but it a much more through in regards to rinsing and spinning. The extra high spin option is great because I can dry my clothes with half the time. Overall, a great product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy Our LG washer water pump and bearings went out after only 1.5 years. There was also a moldy smell that I could never get rid of. Go to a third party review site to get the real reviews on this machine (HD review sites don't tell the whole truth!)- if you do buy this machine get the extended warranty!!

It's got quite a few cycles built in but, maybe the best part, allows you to transfer upload custom wash cycles to the machine via your smart phone. Pretty awesome.

We are happy with its efficiency, cleaning capabilities, and gentleness to our clothing. The various settings are all useful. We especially enjoy being able to delay wash, so we can get a load going before bed or work, have it ready for the dryer when we are available, but not have the wet, squashed clothes getting wrinkled for hours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never again Don't buy LG washer . It's only two years old and the pump and drain leaked. Under warranty of LG cost $415 for technician to diagnose and replace part. The technician won't unstack the dryer so you have to pay someone to come and unstack it $800 for 3 guys to do that. For $1200 buy a better brand should have gone Maytag

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unreliable spin. We bought this machine and matching dryer at the recommendation of the HD employee. We were going to go with a less expensive machine but got talked into this one. We cloth diaper and almost every time I wash a load of diapers it becomes unbalanced. TThere is no audible alert only a flashing light....So I end up wasting a lot of time when I think it is done and it is having a lroblem. The only way to correct is to stop the cycle, power off and run a "rinse and spin". The one plus side is that even with all of the extra rinse and spin cycles our water bill is down dramatically.....But we had an inefficient water hog to start so probably any HE machine would have saved us a bundle on that department. On all loads there is frequently a pocket of really soggy clothes at the back/bottom of the machine. I can literally wring them out. There is not extra "spin" cycle without doing another rinse so I either use more water/time to try and get the spin cycle to get more water out (no guarantees) or Drying takes two rounds. For a busy family with two full time working parents having to "deal" with the delicate sensibilities of an expensive washing machine is not worth the hastle. Buy something else unless you like to hang out in your laundry room all day making sure your washing machine is happy.
