Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dissatisfied Worst Washer in the history of washing machines
I have yet to figure out why this is called a True balance. It restarts itself repeatedly any time it is off balance (which is constant). Ever since I've owned it, it takes me an entire day to wash one load. Not kidding. We've had an LG tech come out to "update the software" and it did absolutely nothing. When Home Depot delivered it, they leveled it. We continue to check that it's level. It sits perfectly level yet every single load we wash (no matter how small) always makes it unbalanced. In the 2 years that we've owned it, our water and electric bills have been through the roof because of the insane wash time. This washer is a complete waste of money and a joke of a washing machine. Buyer beware.

My machine is now 3+ years old, and still working beautifully. I've never had a problem because I sort my laundry, and like to take care of my clothes, washing them according to color and type. Hence, I've never overloaded the machine and, thankfully, because it's energy efficient and sensored, it knows not to use more water than it needs. After reading so many of these negative reviews, I am inclined to think that most of the unhappy customers are probably overloading their machines. My father in law was a washing machine repair man for years, and he's said that most issues with washing machines (then and now) are due to people overloading their washers. The unbalanced loads, the clothes that don't get clean -- all due to overloading. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

LG blamed my floor, the clothes, me. Can't use tub clean since it throws the UE imbalance code. Wastes water trying to rebalance. Can't run an empty spin cycle test because it can't get above 300rpm. Takes hours to wash clothes due to trying to rebalance during rinse and spin cycles.
There is a service bulletin for this issue to upgrade the software or replace the main board. Plus additional steps in the bulletin to fix this issue. LG know there is an issue but you're hosed if you are out of warranty. First and last LG product I will own.
Oh industry trick manufactures change model numbers so reviews get refreshed. This issue covered at least 4-5 models per the service bulletin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Frankly the worst clothes washer that I have ever owned, if I could give it a '0' I would. People say don't overload it, other say don't under load it to avoid the dreaded ue. However, my experience is the ue over 50% of the time and where there is not a UE the load takes about 30 minutes long that it said at the beginning because it spends so much time trying to balance the load. Not a good washer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
